ANGRY FORD: ‘I’M NOT TOO OLD TO BE INDY’
INDIANA JONES HARRISON FORD has hit out at critics who claim he’s too old to play the swashbuckling archaeologist.
The 65-year-old, who is playing the adventurer for a fourth time in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, is confident the film will be a hit - even with a senior citizen in the lead role.
The actor even insisted the film embraced the fact he and his character have aged 19 years since the last instalment - 1989’s Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
He says, "That’s one of the things I was most keen about. Just acknowledge the years, without reservation. What’s the big deal? The guys 18, 20 years older. So what? "Yeah, I’ve heard it: `Aaaaw, he’s older.’ Well s**t yes. And by the way? So are you… Take a look in the f***ing mirror!"
