VON TEESE FILES MALFUNCTIONING SWAN LAWSUIT
Burlesque star DITA VON TEESE has filed a lawsuit against a giant swan manufacturer.
Von Teese employed the services of Fred Knaff to build her a 10 foot (3.05 metres) high swan with a fountainhead in the beak, in which she could perform the act which she calls Swan Lake, according to TMZ.com.
The documents filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday (17Apr08) claims Von Teese paid Knaff thousands of dollars, but the animal’s fountain malfunctioned at her show’s debut in Toronto, Canada, on 12 November last year (07).
The swan was sent back to Knaff, who allegedly refused to fix the damaged goods - and Von Teese claims she cannot perform without it, with the malfunction costing her $200,000 (£100,000).
