ASHLEE SIMPSON and new fiance PETE WENTZ may have been responsible for fuelling pregnancy rumours that have dogged them for the past two weeks - they made a spoof baby bump online video before the reports spread.
The pop star brushes her teeth and gobbles snacks while lying in bed, boasting a fake baby belly in the footage, which was posted in cyberspace at the beginning of the week (beg14Apr08).
Wentz appears on camera at the end of the spoof and the two reveal the pregnancy is a hoax.
Wentz has since denied reports his partner is pregnant and Simpson insisted the question was "inappropriate" when she was asked if she was with child during a recent taping of MTV show TRL.
