BOLLYWOOD STAR LOSES SONG BATTLE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:35 pm

Bollywood director RAKESH ROSHAN has agreed to hand over $500,000 (£250,000) to an advert composer who claims his jingle was ripped off in a movie.
Ram Sampath alleges two songs from the soundtrack for Roshan’s movie Krazzy 4 were inspired by music he wrote for a Sony Ericsson commercial.
An Indian court agreed and found Roshan guilty of plagiarism.
By handing over the money, Roshan prevented a ban on the film being released without the offending songs removed.
Sampath has also won a credit on the movie and its soundtrack.
