VOIGHT:’ ANGELINA IS MY HERO’
JON VOIGHT has hailed his estranged daughter ANGELINA JOLIE a hero for her work with disadvantaged children.
The 69-year-old actor spoke out after Jolie this week (begs07Apr08) called on the international community to do more to ensure the education of Iraqi children is made a priority.
Voight tells Usmagazine.com, "People who raise children properly are heroes to me because it takes a lot of work. And when they do it with joy and love, there’s nothing more beautiful.
"I think she’s terrific. God bless her!" Voight hasn’t spoken to his daughter since 2002 when he said she had "severe emotional problems" during a TV interview.
