STEVE-O: ‘I’LL KICK DRUGS; NOT CRAZY ANTICS’
JACKASS prankster STEVE-O has vowed to kick his drug and drink abuse for good but will never tame his wild behaviour.
The reality TV star - real name Stephen Glover - is battling his drug and booze demons after checking himself into Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he received treatment following a reported suicide attempt last month (Mar08). The hospital stay came only days after the troubled star was charged with possession of cocaine in Los Angeles.
Fellow Jackass star Johnny Knoxville forced the 33-year-old to seek treatment, after the self-destructive star began sending erratic emails to friends insisting he was "ready to die".
And although Glover is willing to give up his intoxicated lifestyle, he has no intention of quitting the hellraising stunts which made him a star on the hit show.
He says, "Everybody thinks I’m in the loony bin, but I’m actually in rehab.
Everyone thinks Steve-O’s going to be all tame… It’s just the drugs and alcohol I want to be off."
