Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:41 pm

STAR WARS actor KENNY BAKER, who played R2-D2 in the sci-fi movies, has been struck down with a mystery illness.
The 3 foot 8 inches (1.12 metres) star - who has appeared as the droid in all six films in the franchise - was admitted to hospital in the U.K. on Wednesday (09Apr09) after falling ill following a holiday in the U.S.
Friends feared Baker was "seriously ill", however it is expected he will return to his home in Lancashire, England, later this week (ends 13Apr08).
A relative tells British newspaper The Sun, "Kenny’s conscious and talking, hopefully he’ll be absolutely fine."
