DMX’s late arrival at a college concert in Indiana on Wednesday night (09Apr08) caused a mini-riot when the rapper was only allowed to perform three songs.
The hitmaker - real name Earl Simmons - took to the stage at Indiana University an hour late, according to reports, and police arrived to shut him down just three songs into his set.
Organisers of the show promised university officials the concert would be over by the time DMX actually hit the stage.
After escorting the rapper offstage, police were forced to calm the crowd, who started chanting obscenities at them.
Outside, fans and students reportedly hurled trash at the police officers who had shut down the concert.
