CLOONEY READIED GIRLFRIEND FOR OSCAR’S RED CARPET
Actor GEORGE CLOONEY made sure his girlfriend SARAH LARSON was well-prepared for walking down the red carpet at this year’s (08) Academy Awards - because he knew the couple would be bombarded with questions about their romance.
Clooney and 29-year-old Larson, a former Las Vegas cocktail waitress, turned up together at a handful of other premieres prior to February’s ceremony, but their date marked the first time the 46-year-old had ever brought a girlfriend along to the Oscars.
And the Michael Clayton star is impressed with the way Larson responded to the media circus at the prestigious Hollywood event.
He says, "Yes, I took my girlfriend to the Oscars and it was good fun. It’s not so easy, y’know - there’s a million people out there and I think she handled it really well.
"She is very secure in herself but mostly it’s one of those situations where you just have to know what’s coming and she was fairly well prepared. We’d already been to the Venice and Seville film festivals and a couple of premieres so we sort of knew what was coming."
