FRIEL THANKFUL FOR LATE FAME
British actress ANNA FRIEL is thankful she didn’t achieve success in the U.S.
until she was in her thirties - as she "might not have handled it" if she had shot to fame at a young age.
The 31-year-old made her name in U.K. soap opera Brookside in the 1990s and but has recently carved out a career in America after landing the lead role in hit drama series Pushing Daisies.
And Friel insists she is glad her career has blossomed later in life because she wouldn’t have felt the same gratitude if she landed such a high profile role in her twenties.
She says, "For years I used to be upset that I’d missed this big chance in America and now I’m glad it didn’t happen 10 years ago. God knows how I’d have handled it.
"I might not have handled it at all. I’ve got this chance when I’m old enough to appreciate it and I’ve got people I really love around me."
