30 SECONDS TO MARS rocker JARED LETO was asked to leave the ruins of fabled New York club CBGBs recently just before he attempted to steal posters from the walls.
The actor/rocker was walking past the famous venue as demolition experts were in the process of tearing the club down - and he decided to go in and take a last look.
But Leto stood around for too long, and when workmen noticed him in among the rubble he was asked to move on.
Leto says, "I walked inside thinking I was gonna rip some posters off the wall.
"Some guy came in next to me and he had on an old leather jacket and you could tell he used to hang there. He said, ‘Oh man, this is so sad. I can’t believe this. I’m gonna rip something off the wall.’ "As he did, I just stood there looking around and then some people booted me out of there."

LINDSAY LOHAN has reportedly signed to strip naked and play a sex-addicted waitress in a new movie called FLORENCE.
Just days after agreeing to portray a member of Charles Manson’s real-life murderous cult in The Manson Girls, Lohan has sealed a deal to star in another controversial movie.
Star magazine claims the 21-year-old will be paid just $75,000 (£37,500) for the opportunity to play the edgy character.
A source tells the magazine, "She just wants to remind people she can act and she’s worth hiring."

The minister who was rumoured to be marrying BRAD PITT and ANGELINA JOLIE at the weekend (29Mar08) has opened his arms and his church to the couple, inviting them to exchange vows before him.
Reverend Tony Talavera, who owns the French Quarter Wedding Chapel in New Orleans, Louisiana, where Pitt and Jolie have a home, was inundated with media questions and requests when he was linked to the wedding that never was.
But, far from getting annoyed with the fuss, the minister is keen to oversee the Pitt-Jolie wedding for real.
He tells Life & Style magazine, "I have not met them, but we extend the invitation. We’re glad they’re neighbours." But sources suggest the couple will wed overseas this summer (08).
One insider tells the publication that France remains a favourite wedding site - because that’s where Jolie’s late mother Marcheline Bertrand was born.
The source says, "They’re planning to go there (France) on May 20." And it’s reported that pregnant Jolie will give birth to the couple’s new baby in a remote French farmhouse.
The insider adds, "They’ve been looking at chateaus where they’ll stay until Angie gives birth. It’s really important for her to have the baby in France because her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, was of French descent. It would be a wonderful tribute to Angelina’s mom."

PAMELA ANDERSON refused to work with a dog on the set of new comedy SUPERHERO MOVIE because she thinks training dogs to work on films is wrong.
It’s an issue officials at People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals - an organisation the actress/model supports - have objected to in the past.
And Anderson was so upset about her Invisible Girl character having to work with a dog, she stormed off the set, according to PlanetGossip.Eonline.com.
Director Craig Mazin reportedly edited shots of Anderson and a dog to make it look like the pooch belonged to her character, but all scenes featuring the pet were cut from the finished film.

ANNA NICOLE SMITH turned to Judaism in the months before her death - because the religion’s rules gave her comfort as she mourned the loss of her son DANIEL.
The model/actress’ son died from an accidental drug overdose just days after his baby sister Dannielynn was born in the Bahamas, and the tragedy prompted Smith to seek out religion.
In a new book called Anna Nicole Smith: Portrait Of An Icon, the tragic star’s stylist pals Pol Atteu and Patrik Simpson reveal the actress found great comfort in Judaism after her son’s death in September 2006.
They even feature photographs of the late star posing in front of a mirror that has been covered in accordance with Jewish mourning rites.
Atteu and Simpson write, "Anna embraced all religions, and followed the Jewish tradition out of respect for (companion) Howard K. Stern by covering all the mirrors in the house because she was in mourning." It’s customary in the Jewish faith to cover all reflective surfaces following a family death, so that all thoughts of vanity are replaced by consideration for the deceased.

Superstar MARIAH CAREY is secretly dating actor NICK CANNON in secret, according to reports.
The pair hooked up after Cannon starred in a music video for the singer’s new album E=MC2, a friend tells the National Enquirer.

KATHERINE HEIGL’s romantic comedy 27 DRESSES has debuted at the top of the U.K.
box office chart.
The movie, in which Heigl plays a serial bridesmaid looking for love, entered the countdown at number one with takings of $3.5 million (£1.75 million).
Dance film Step Up 2 The Streets climbed one place to number two with $2.74 million (£1.37 million).
The Spiderwick Chronicles is at three with $2.6 million (£1.3 million), while last week’s (ends27Mar08) most popular movie, Horton Hears A Who!, falls to fourth place with $1.86 million (£930,000).
Rounding out the top five is Owen Wilson comedy Drillbit Taylor with $540,000 (£270,000).

Actor RYAN PHILLIPPE has been caught up in an April Fool’s Day sex tape prank.
The Flags Of Our Fathers star was confronted with the ‘leaked’ raunchy footage as part of a skit on Tuesday’s (01Apr08) edition of U.S. chat show Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Playing along with the joke, Phillippe pretended to be embarrassed and denied any involvement in the X-rated videotape.
He said, "Oh man. First of all, it is not me. I know it looks like me, and people say it sounds like me, but it’s not me." During the murky clip, Phillippe is seen setting up the video camera before he starts romping with Kimmel’s middle-aged female security guard Veatrice, who is less than amused with the hunk’s bedroom techniques.

Beloved U.S. TV star TRACEY GOLD has given birth to her fourth son.
The former Growing Pains star had an April Fool’s Day baby on Tuesday night (01Apr08) at Tarzana Hospital in California.
Gold and her husband, Roby Marshall, have named the child Dylan Christopher.
The couple already has three boys - Sage, 11, Bailey, nine, and Aiden, three.
Gold refused to follow Hollywood trends, and went public with her baby’s sex and name back in February (08).
The 38-year-old and her husband of 13 years are already reconsidering plans not to get pregnant again.
She adds, "I say that I’m done but we’re not closing the door. We’re not having a vasectomy." But Gold accepts she’ll probably never have a girl: "I come from a family of five girls, so I know that when you keep having one of the same… But I just love babies and I love a big family."

Actor TATE DONOVAN is divorcing his wife of three years, CORINNE KINGSBURY.
The couple married in a Catholic ceremony on a Malibu, California beach in 2005.
But The O.C. star Donovan has revealed he and Kingsbury separated earlier this year (08) and are now heading towards a permanent split.
He tells OK! magazine, "I’m getting a divorce." Although newly-single, the 44-year-old has rejected the suggestion he may reunite with ex-girlfriend Jennifer Aniston, telling the tabloid they were totally incompatible: "She likes top notch hotels and luxury. I like bed and breakfasts and riding my bike.

Rap mogul SEAN ‘DIDDY’ COMBS has scored an odd double at the top of the U.S.
albums chart by replacing one band he created with another.
Day26, who won Diddy’s most recent Making The Band reality contest, have toppled the rapper’s manufactured all-girl group Danity Kane to claim the number one spot on the Billboard 200.
Day26’s self-titled debut claimed the top spot with 190,000 album sales; Danity Kane’s Welcome To The Dollhouse slides to four on the new countdown.
Meanwhile, Panic At The Disco’s Pretty. Odd. debuts at two and rock veterans Counting Crows enter the chart at three with their first album in six years, Saturday Nights & Sunday Mornings.
Hits compilation NOW 27 slips three places to five to round out the top five.
The White Stripes star Jack White’s other band The Raconteurs also enjoyed a big debut - despite only announcing the release of their new album, Consolers Of The Lonely, two weeks ago, the group debuts at number seven with 42,000 sales.

A lost JOHN LENNON song has been unearthed for a tribute album to the man known as the ‘fifth Beatle’.
Neil Aspinall rarely spoke of the raw track, Now & Then, he recorded with Lennon, but now his estate is looking to restore and remaster the tune and add it to a compilation album to mark the producer and record executive’s passing.
Aspinall died last month (Mar08) after losing a battle with lung cancer. He was 66.

ROLLING STONE and former hellraiser RONNIE WOOD has offered his personal help to troubled starlets BRITNEY SPEARS and LINDSAY LOHAN.
Both Spears and Lohan spent time in rehab last year (07) after brushes with addiction - an issue close to the guitarist’s heart.
Wood has long battled drinking problems, and spent time in a clinic as recently as 2006.
He says of Lohan and Spears, "The poor things. I’d love to help them. You’ve got to go through it to get to it. You have to experience all the lows because life is hard."

German electro-pop pioneer KLAUS DINGER has died of heart failure
. He was 61.
The former Kraftwerk and Neu! drummer passed away on 21 March (08), a spokesperson for Neu!’s label Gronland announced on Wednesday (02Apr08).
Dinger was a member of Kraftwerk in the early 1970s; he and guitarist Michael Rother left the group to form another influential band, Neu! Neu! recorded three albums before splitting up in the mid-1970s
. Dinger and Rother reunited in the studio in the mid-1980s for a fourth Neu! album, which was released a decade later in 1995.
Dinger formed La Dusseldorf, who had hits with Silver Cloud and Rheinita, following his initial tenure with Neu! In a statement paying tribute to his musical colleague, Rother says: "Together with many friends of his music I will remember Klaus for his creativity as an artist and I will think about him with gratitude for his wonderful contributions to our project Neu!"

JOHN MAYER’s publicists have hit back at reports the rocker shared a same sex kiss with celebrity blogger PEREZ HILTON at a New Year’s Eve (31Dec07) party in New York.
Hilton has gone public with what he claims was a five-minute smooch after growing tired of Mayer’s blog attacks on him and his online gossip column.
The openly gay blogger tells American magazine In Touch, "There was chemistry between John and I. He sang in my ear. It turned me on." And then, as Mayer’s then-girlfriend Jessica Simpson looked on, the rocker allegedly kissed Hilton.
He recalls, "John said, ‘I’m going to outdo Perez tonight,’ and kissed me for five minutes." But Mayer’s aides are denying the story, stating, "This is completely ridiculous." Perez Hilton is standing by his tale and he has offered to take a lie detector test to prove he’s telling the truth about his magical moment with Mayer.
Hilton - real name Mario Lavandeira - adds, "I would definitely take a lie detector test and challenge him to take one, too, if he denies it."

Veteran rocker ELVIS COSTELLO has signed up to host a new TV show, which will be produced by SIR ELTON JOHN.
Costello will interview celebrities in depth on Spectacle: Elvis Costello With…, which will air on U.S. cable network Sundance Channel, the U.K.’s Channel 4 and on CTV in Canada.
The show will be produced by John’s production company Rocket Pictures.
Costello aims to garner previously unheard snippets of information from stars during his interviews.
He says, "I’d rather hear about a bright secret, a deep love or a curiosity that might be otherwise obscured by fame. This is a wonderful opportunity to talk in complete thoughts about music, movies, art or even vaudeville, then frame it with unique and illustrative performances." John adds, "I thought it would be sensational to use his knowledge and intelligence to explore the artistry of musicians and other fascinating people involved in making great music, as well as true music aficionados." A percentage of the show’s income will be donated to the Global Fund’s AIDS relief program.
It’s not the first time Costello has fronted a chat show - in 2003, the Oliver’s Army hitmaker stepped in to host The Late Show With David Letterman when Letterman fell ill with shingles.

Pop legend MADONNA blames her permanently uptight persona on the haunting memory of her mother’s death.
The Like A Virgin singer’s friends and husband Guy Ritchie desperately try to calm her down, but Madonna insists she’ll never be able to change - because the damage was done in her youth when her mother died of breast cancer.
The singer’s mum, also called Madonna, lost her battle with the disease at the age of 30 in 1963, when her daughter was just five years old.
And she believes the torment she suffered at such a tender age is to blame for her controlling, disciplinarian nature.
She says, "I’ve always been this way. I can’t help it. Guy tells me to loosen up, my friends do, too, but I can’t. It’s entirely a product of my childhood.
"I have dealt with a lot of my demons, but the biggest one is still to do with my mother dying when I was young. That is still with me in many ways. As a child I had no control. I felt the world around me was chaotic and I needed some control. That’s when the self-discipline started. It was my way of survival."

Newly single movie star ROBIN WILLIAMS is romancing a 27-year-old artist, according to reports.
America tabloid National Enquirer claims the 56-year-old funnyman met Charlotte Filbert six months ago through designer Tommy Hilfiger’s daughter Ally.
Although Williams’ wife of 19 years Marsha filed for divorce on 21 March (08), the Enquirer claims they have been living separate lives for over a year.
When quizzed by the tabloid, Filbert refused to deny she is dating Williams, simply saying, "I can’t comment on any of this stuff." A representative for Williams was unavailable for comment as WENN went to press.
