WAYANS BROTHERS DROP OAKLAND STUDIO PLAN

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:06 am

The WAYANS brothers have abandoned their plans to construct a movie studio at a former army base in Oakland, California.
The filmmaking siblings - Damon, Marlon, Keenen Ivory and Shawn - had also wanted to build a shopping centre on the 13-acre site, which is situated near the city’s port.
According to their business partner Britten Shuford, the Wayans pulled out after failing to get a commitment from Oakland officials to preserve the location’s picturesque views of the San Francisco Bay.
The brothers were worried the port’s plans to stack storage containers would block out views of the bay.
