CARREY’S HORTON IS GLOBAL NUMBER ONE
JIM CARREY’s animated movie HORTON HEARS A WHO! is the world’s number one film after topping the international box office chart over the weekend (28-30Mar08).
The family cartoon, in which Carrey voices an elephant, climbs a place to lead the countdown of movie takings outside the U.S. with $13.2 million (£6.6 million).
Falling to two after three weeks at the top is pre-historic adventure 10,000 B.C. with $12 million (£6 million), followed by Bienvenue Chez Les Ch’tis, which sits at three with $10 million (£5 million).
