ABDUL TO DANCE WITH THE STARS?
AMERICAN IDOL star PAULA ABDUL is desperate to show off her dancing skills as part of hit U.S. TV show DANCING WITH THE STARS.
The Straight Up singer approached Dancing host Tom Bergeron during the first elimination round on the sixth season of the celebrity talent contest, and went public with her plans.
Bergeron reveals, "She said she’d really like to be part of season seven…
She said, ‘I have no ballroom training; obviously I’ve been a choreographer…
and I’d love to be part of it… I can do this.’ "She was serious and we had one of our top executives there and I said, ‘Paula Abdul wants to do season seven of Dancing With The Stars,’ and she said, ‘That’s a great idea.’" Illusionist Penn Jillette and former tennis ace Monica Seles were voted off the show on Tuesday night (25Mar08).
