Fans of HEATH LEDGER have been warned against buying any memorabilia material claiming to be from new BATMAN movie THE DARK KNIGHT - because it’s all fake.
According to internet reports, bogus traders in Los Angeles have been selling ’signed’ Dark Knight photographs and posters featuring the late actor as The Joker to unsuspecting movie fans.
But none of the items are authentic - because promotional material for the forthcoming movie has yet to hit the market, reports PerezHilton.com.
A representative for Warner Bros. Pictures, the film studio behind the project, says, "There are no Dark Knight posters or memorabilia connected to the movie on sale yet. We are investigating how they have been pirated." A source close to the Ledger family claims they "are appalled" Heath’s memory is being abused in such a way, adding, "They’re furious that pirates are cashing in on his death." Ledger suffered a fatal accidental overdose of prescription drugs in his New York apartment on 22 January (08). He was 28.

Hip-hop star LL COOL J has finally pleased his fans Down Under - he’s embarked on his first tour of Australia after 24 years in the music industry.
The rapper kicked off his visit in Sydney on Saturday (22Mar08) and will wrap up the live dates in Brisbane on Thursday (27Mar08).
And LL - real name James Todd Smith III - can’t believe how many different generations his music has reached.
He tells AllHipHop.com, "This is my first trip to Australia and after all these years, to be able to take it to a higher level at this stage is truly a blessing.
"The people have been extremely welcoming. The love for hip-hop is something you have to see and believe me, I’ve been filming this experience. They know all the words to my songs. The crowds have been incredible; all generations have come out old school and new school." But the Paradise hitmaker admits he can’t wait to get back onto U.S. soil so he can hit the recording studio.
He adds, "As much as I’m enjoying Australia I can’t wait to get home and finish mixing the last few songs on (forthcoming album) Exit 13. Exit 13 is my 13th album being released on Def Jam (sic)… There is new surge of excitement in the building and it feels great to know I have their full support. I know the world is watching now and I will deliver."

30 ROCK actress TINA FEY is desperate for BRITNEY SPEARS to guest star on the hit show - after the pop singer’s appearance boosted ratings on rival TV series HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER.

Pop superstar JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE has been hired to present U.S. network ESPN’s annual ESPY Awards.
The ceremony aims to celebrate the best and funniest sporting moments over the year, and Timberlake is nervous at the prospect of messing up at the awards show.

Comedian ROBIN WILLIAMS is heading for a divorce - his wife MARSHA has filed papers in a California court to end their marriage.
Producer Marsha Garces Williams, who had been married to the actor for 19 years, filed the petition in San Francisco last Friday (21Mar08) citing irreconcilable differences for the split.
The pair first met while Williams was still married to his first wife Valerie and Marsha was working as the couple’s nanny. They married in 1989, just months after the breakdown of his first union.
Robin and Marsha often worked together - she produced his films Mrs.
Doubtfire and Patch Adams - and they founded Blue Wolf Productions and the organisation Doctors Without Borders.
They have two children together: daughter Zelda, 18, and 17-year-old son Cody.

Veteran actor JAMES BROLIN has become a real life treasure hunter, after buying into a company that recruits divers to search ship wrecks for hidden riches.
The 67-year-old diving enthusiast has shares in the firm, and plans to join the next crew when they embark on a hunt for a lost $20 million (£10 million) fortune.
He reveals, "I bought the stock and then on the website I bought some more.
I’m going to go out with them for a few days, and then in three months there is a $20 million recovery ship that starts out."

The boxing champion and her husband, ex-American footballer Curtis Conway, reveal their baby news in the forthcoming edition of Essence magazine.
She says, "I don’t know yet if we are having a boy or a girl, but I’m excited that I have a life inside me that my husband and I created.
"I am 100 percent undeniably happy. I’ve never been able to say that before." The couple married last year (Jul07) in a lavish ceremony in Marina del Rey, California.
The child is Ali’s first and Conway’s fourth. He has twin sons and a daughter from a previous relationship.

Hollywood actor RICHARD WIDMARK has died at the age of 93.
He passed away at his home in Connecticut on Monday (24Mar08) after a long illness, according his wife Susan Blanchard.
The Minnesota-born star enjoyed a career spanning more than four decades, during which he made over 70 films.
He made his silver screen debut in 1947, aged 33, as a psychopathic killer in Kiss of Death - a role which earned him an Oscar nomination and scooped him the Golden Globe prize for Best Actor.
Widmark went on to star in 1950s classics like Night and the City, Broken Lance and appeared alongside Marilyn Monroe in 1952’s Don’t Bother to Knock.
He will also be remembered for his roles in Judgement at Nuremberg (1961) and 1964’s Cheyenne Autumn. Widmark made his final big-screen outing in 1991 thriller True Colors.
He is survived by his second wife Blanchard and a daughter from his first marriage to writer Jean Hazlewood.

LATEST: A recent newspaper report linking SEAN ‘DIDDY’ COMBS to a gun attack on late rapper TUPAC SHAKUR is based on false documentation, it has been claimed.
The Los Angeles Times ran an article on 17 March (08) claiming the music mogul’s former manager, Czar Entertainment CEO Jimmy ‘Henchman’ Rosemond was involved in a plan to ambush Shakur at a New York Recording studio in 1994.
Both Combs and Rosemond have hit back at the allegations - denying any involvement in the attack which saw Shakur shot five times, two years before he was murdered in Las Vegas. No one was ever charged in connection with the shooting, which was believed to have started a "gang war" which eventually resulted in Shakur’s death.
Chuck Phillips, the journalist who wrote the story, recently issued another response standing by his article.
But now TheSmokingGun.com claims to have obtained the ‘official’ legal documents - and alleges they are all fake.
According to the website, the supposed FBI files had been created by convicted con artist James Sabatino while serving time at the Allenwood federal prison in White Deer, Pennsylvania - because the FBI have no record of the ‘reports’.
The Los Angeles Times has now launched an investigation into the authenticity of the documents.

BON JOVI rocker RICHIE SAMBORA has been arrested for drink-driving in California.
The Living On A Prayer hitmaker was pulled over by cops in Laguna Beach late on Tuesday (25Mar08) after they observed him driving erratically, according to TMZ.com.
He failed numerous field sobriety tests and was detained him for DUI.
Sambora appears tired and dishevelled in a police mugshot, taken during his detention.
The musician was admitted to rehab last year (07) following a battle with alcoholism, sparked by his deteriorating marriage to actress Heather Locklear and the ailing health of his dad, among other factors.
