WINFREY LOSES A SECOND PET
OPRAH WINFREY is in mourning after her pet dog SOPHIE died, less than a year after another beloved pooch choked to death.
Black cocker spaniel Sophie lost a year-long battle with kidney disease on 10 March (08), just 10 months after Winfrey buried two-year-old golden retriever Gracie, who choked on a plastic ball.
A friend reveals, "Oprah is absolutely devastated. Even though she knew Sophie was fighting a losing battle, when the end came, it was still a huge blow."
