BIRKHEAD: ‘ANNA NICOLE’S SON STOLE METHADONE’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:44 pm

ANNA NICOLE SMITH’s son DANIEL took drugs and stole Methadone from his mother, an inquest into his death heard on Monday (17Mar08).
Larry Birkhead, the father of Anna Nicole’s baby daughter Dannielynn, stunned the Bahamas hearing when he revealed his former lover noticed drugs were missing from her home in Studio City, California in April 2006.
And when she checked her in-home surveillance cameras, Anna Nicole had video proof that Daniel and his friends had stolen the Methadone, Birkhead testified.
Birkhead also told the court he’s now not completely sure he saw lawyer Howard K. Stern smoke marijuana with Daniel, despite telling police he witnessed just that in 2006.
The inquest also heard that Daniel was taken to a Los Angeles hospital for misuse of valium in July 2006, reports TMZ.com.
Daniel died from a suspected drug overdose three days after his mother gave birth to baby daughter Dannielynn in September 2006. He was 20. Anna Nicole passed away from an accidental overdose in Florida six months later in February 2007.

THERON COOS ABOUT ‘HUSBAND’ TOWNSEND

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:44 pm

CHARLIZE THERON went public with her unorthodox ‘marriage’ to partner STUART TOWNSEND over the weekend (16Mar08) when she referred to the Irishman as her "husband" in a TV interview.
The Oscar winner was chatting to the hosts of U.S. film show Shootout, wearing a band on her wedding finger, when she cooed about her seven-year romance with Townsend.
Asked why she has chosen to produce movies by two first-time directors William Maher (Sleepwalking) and Patty Jenkins (Monster) - the actress cryptically offered, "I look at my husband today and I wonder, ‘What was it that you said that made me stick around for seven years…’ I’m still sticking around." Then, later in the show, while Theron was proudly talking about Townsend’s directorial debut Battle In Seattle, a scene from the film was shown, with the blurb, "Theron’s husband, Irish actor Stuart Townsend, wrote and directed Battle In Seattle." Theron and Townsend declared themselves ‘married’ last September (07) after exchanging rings just before Battle In Seattle’s world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival in Canada.
Townsend revealed, "I didn’t do a church wedding or anything, but we’re married. We’re husband and wife. We love each other and we want to spend our lives together."

MADONNA MARRIAGE NOT IN TROUBLE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:41 pm

MADONNA’s publicist has hit back at reports the pop superstar’s marriage to moviemaker GUY RITCHIE is in trouble, insisting the couple is "joyfully" back together after separate promotional commitments kept them apart.
The marriage came under intense scrutiny last week (10Mar08) when Ritchie failed to show up at New York’s Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony, where his wife was honoured.
This was the latest of several events the couple had failed to attend together, prompting scurrilous reports they’d split.
But Madonna’s longtime publicist Liz Rosenberg has attempted to end the rumours and speculation by issuing a press statement.
She says, "I am delighted to confirm that Mr. and Mrs. Guy Ritchie remain happily married.
"Though they were in different countries recently - Madonna in the U.S. doing promotion for her upcoming album Hard Candy and Guy finishing up post production on his new film RocknRolla, as well as completing a Nike commercial and working on several scripts in England - the family are joyfully back together at home in London.
"All is well and wonderful in the Ritchie household."

SPEARS ORDERED TO PAY UP

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:41 pm

BRITNEY SPEARS has been ordered to pay her ex-husband KEVIN FEDERLINE’s lawyer $375,000 (£187,500) in legal fees.
Attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan was asking for $500,000 (£250,000) for his part in the pop star’s custody fight with her ex, but Los Angeles Commissioner Scott Gordon slashed that figure, agreeing Spears should pay her former husband’s "reasonable" fees.
In a hearing in Los Angeles on Monday morning (17Mar08), Spears’ lawyers called the settlement outrageous, according to TMZ.com.
In the court order, obtained by the website, Spears’ legal payments have been disclosed, showing her former lawyer, Laura Wasser, charged the singer over $160,000 (£80,000) in legal fees, while legal firm Trope & Trope, who represented Spears in her custody battle for five months, are asking for more than $680,000 (£340,000) in fees.
Meanwhile, in a concurrent hearing, Andrew Wallet - the co-conservator of Spears’ estate - was granted permission to sell some of the singer’s cars.
Wallet shares control of the pop star’s legal and financial affairs with her father Jamie.
Presiding Judge Reva Goetz also extended the restraining order against Spears’ former manager Sam Lutfi for another month.

"When my son was born I wanted to give him a marriage that was intact. But, after many years, I realised that wasn’t best for him.

CAREY HITS BACK AT INTERNET CRITICISM

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:32 pm

Caustic Hilton upset Carey by claiming the song will be the singer’s next single, and stating "it sucks".
And so the hitmaker took matters into her own hands during a radio chat with Los Angeles DJ Ryan Seacrest, revealing "I’m kinda tired of it (criticism)." Seacrest then invited Hilton to join the chat by phone, prompting Carey to tell him, "I love you, no matter what you do… (but) you can’t hate on that song with T-Pain; you need to listen to it again." She then added sarcastically, "I think I’ve had this job for a long time." And Carey insisted the song she performed on live TV in America on Saturday night is not her new single.
She added, "I’m definitely not even releasing Migrate as a second single. It was just fun to do on Saturday Night Live… My next single is going to be a ballad, darling. I ain’t stupid… I ain’t trying to mess with what we already know.
"We don’t talk about personal lives." And when Hilton attempted to speculate about Carey’s love life, the sassy pop star cut him off, stating, "Y’know Perez, that’s for you and me to have a personal, private moment and discuss what we want the world to know."

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:29 pm

Actress ASIA ARGENTO is planning to reinvent herself in Hollywood, so she doesn’t get stuck with a trashy stereotype.

She says, "There’s a limit. And luckily I’m getting more dignified and old as time goes on. My rebellious years have come to a halt. And I’m sick of having to justify myself for work that I do. It mixes the person that you are and the persona of what you are on the screen.
"The last thing I want is to be pigeonholed into doing the same role for the ret of my life, like Bela Lugosi did. I don’t want to end up sleeping in the coffin like him."

PARKER SLAMS ‘FRAT BOY’ MOVIES

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:29 pm

Actress PARKER POSEY has hit out at Hollywood’s obsession with male ‘frat boy humour", branding it sexist.
The star doesn’t understand the current popularity of movies like Knocked Up and Superbad.
She says, "There’s so much frat boy humour out there now. This whole Judd Apatow craze - I don’t like it. It excludes girls, and it doesn’t do anything particularly great for our culture.
