RICHIE RELUCTANT TO LEAVE NEW BABY

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 4:11 pm

Socialite NICOLE RICHIE was apprehensive about attending the opening of boyfriend JOEL MADDEN’s new clothing store - because the party was one of her first few public outings since giving birth to her daughter.
Richie and her rocker partner welcomed baby Harlow into the world nine weeks ago and since then, the former wild child has been noticeably absent from the Hollywood party scene.
And although best friend Paris Hilton was a guest at DCMA’s Los Angeles launch on Friday night (14Mar08), the 26-year-old remained hesitant about leaving her newborn at home.
Richie tells People magazine, "My mom’s with her. It’s fun, but it’s bittersweet because I don’t like to leave her. And I always wonder, ‘What is she doing?’ (I’ve checked in) twice so far - and I’ve only been gone an hour! "But this is my adult night so I’m excited to see what the night brings." Despite heading home before the afterparty at Hollywood club Central, the nursing mum admitted she had come prepared for a long night: "(My breast pump) is in the car. And we have a converter because there’s no car charger, so that way I can plug it right in at 10 o’clock!"

RICHARDS HATES MUSIC - EXCEPT WINEHOUSE’S

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 4:11 pm

ROLLING STONES star KEITH RICHARDS hates all modern-day music - except the vocal talents of troubled star AMY WINEHOUSE.
But the rock veteran insists the Back To Black singer needs to stay off drugs or else she risks ending her career - and her life.
He says, "There’s only one person. That girl Amy (Winehouse). Mind you, that girl’s not going to be around long unless she sorts herself out pretty quick.
Amy’s got to get smart." Winehouse checked into a rehab clinic in London earlier this year (Jan08) after a video showing the singer allegedly taking a variety of illegal substances was passed on to British newspaper The Sun.

IMPATIENT PORTMAN TURNS PRODUCER

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 4:08 pm

Actress NATALIE PORTMAN formed her own production company after growing tired of waiting around for movie offers to land in her mail box.
The 26-year-old actress found the process frustrating and that scripts being offered to her were inconsistent - so she decided to take her career into her own hands and form HandsomeCharlie Films.
Portman says, "It is proactive. It gives you more control over creating things, as opposed to having to get hired every single time.
"After you’ve worked for so long, it’s kind of annoying to have to be dependent in that way.
"I’ve been working 15 years and I know some years I get everything first and some years I read only uninteresting parts. I didn’t want to be at the mercy of whoever is making those decisions.
"Having your own company is a nice way to concentrate your ideas and make the kinds of movies you want to see."

LITTLE BRITAIN star DAVID WALLIAMS has fallen victim to a gang of thieves who raided his home while he raised money for charity.
The British comedian arrived at his London home on Saturday (15Mar08) morning after appearing on BBC fundraiser Sport Relief the previous evening (14Mar08), only to discover his house had been burgled.
Police spent five hours inside Walliams’ house searching for evidence, and believe the star was targeted as robbers knew he would be away from his home on Friday night for the scheduled TV appearance.
Walliams raised money for Sport Relief by swimming 12 miles (19.1 kilometres) across the treacherous Gibraltar Straits with former British Olympic rower James Cracknell. Walliams previously raised $2 million (£1 million) for the charity after swimming the English Channel in 2006.

The openly-gay Gillespie performed together with Jackson in the rock band Speedway in 2001 - and the Scottish star later began dating singer/songwriter Alexandra Parks.

SHAWTY LO: ‘I HAVE DIABETES, NOT HIV’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 4:05 pm

SIMMONS SLAMS PREGNANCY RUMOURS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 4:02 pm

LATEST: Hip-hop mogul RUSSELL SIMMONS’ ex-wife KIMORA LEE SIMMONS has slammed rumours she is pregnant with the child of actor DJIMON HOUNSOU.
It was reported the model-turned-fashion queen was expecting a third child with the West African-born actor - but at St. Louis Fashion Week in Missouri on Friday (14Mar08), she urged fans not to believe media reports.
Simmons did not take direct questions on the speculation, but said, "I’m in the paper every single week - that I had a fight with my ex-husband, or that I was mad at one of his girlfriends, or that I’m pregnant, or that I demand Fiji water. Lies upon lies upon lies.
"(Reporters) call and ask if I’m pregnant. It all came from (New York Post gossip column) Page Six. You guys shouldn’t believe it.
"People believe what they want to believe because it’s sensational and it’s fun. And they think that’s fabulous. I encourage readers to ignore it and seek out the truth." The 32-year-old has two daughters, Ming Lee, eight, and Aoki Lee, five, with Phat Farm and Def Jam founder Simmons.

PRESLEY DESPERATE TO PLAY MUM AGAIN

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 4:02 pm

New mother-to-be LISA MARIE PRESLEY is delighted to be pregnant - because her life feels empty when she’s not raising children.
The 40-year-old was attending the opening night of PaleyFest on Friday (14Mar08) - where her late father Elvis Presley’s ‘68 Comeback Special played at Hollywood’s Arclight Cinerama Dome - when she told reporters her pregnancy has thus far gone without a hitch.
And Presley - who has two teenage children, daughter Riley, 18, and son Benjamin, 15, with ex-husband Danny Keough - is longing to occupy herself with the joys of motherhood again, admitting this is her calling in life.
She told People.com, "I’m doing all right (but) I’d rather be in bed right now. I don’t really know what to do with myself when I’m not a mother. I just feel like I’m good at it. "I’m all right at it, and my kids are teenagers, so I thought it was time to have another round. And my mother kind of did the same thing with my brother, so, it’s just time." The singer’s mother Priscilla, who was also at the event, added, "It feels great to have a baby coming into the family - all of our kids are all grown. My son, of course my daughter is all grown with her kids, and now her children are grown, so it’s a new experience - it’s great!" Presley - who was forced to reveal she is expecting earlier this month (Mar08) after intense media scrutiny over her weight gain - confirms her teenage kids are "very excited" at the prospect of a new sibling.

PARAMORE VOW TO ‘NEVER STOP’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 4:02 pm

PARAMORE have reassured fans they are not splitting up - insisting "the music’s never gonna stop".
The band sparked rumours of a split last month (Feb08) by cancelling the remaining dates on their European tour due to unspecified "internal issues".
But the Tennessee four-piece were adamant they had put their problems behind them at a gig in La Zona Rosa as part of the South By Southwest music festival in Austin, Texas on Friday (14Mar08) night. Frontwoman Hayley Williams told the audience, "I know there’s been a lot of craziness going on and if you follow our band you may have heard about it in the press or whatever, but the music is never gonna stop for us, and thanks for believing in us." She added, "This was our first show in about a month, and it couldn’t have gone any better."
