MADONNA will premiere her new 4 MINUTES TO SAVE THE WORLD single in a Sunsilk shampoo TV ad on Monday night (17Mar08).
Madonna reportedly netted $10 million (GBP5 million) for the use of her image and hit song Ray of Light in a new Sunsilk ad and now she’s using the campaign to launch her new track.
The song, from Madonna’s upcoming album Hard Candy, is a collaboration with Justin Timberlake.

New mummy RACHEL WEISZ is heading back to ancient Egypt to star in celebrated director ALEJANDRO AMENABAR’s new movie.
The Mummy star will play an astrologer in 4th Century Roman Egypt in Agora Amenabar’s first English-language movie since Nicole Kidman’s The Others.
Filming will begin in Malta on Monday (17Mar08).

DENNIS HOPPER is tired of others taking credit for his EASY RIDER movie because he and co-star PETER FONDA are the only people who made the cult 1969 film.
The veteran movie star wants to clear any confusion about those responsible for the road trip movie before the film’s 40th anniversary celebrations next year (09).
He says, "I wrote and directed Easy Rider with Peter. Terry Southern, who gets a writers credit, broke his hip and he didn’t write anything.
"He gave us the title, Easy Rider, but I called it The Loners. Peter and I talked out the screenplay and then I wrote it. We made it for $340,000 all across the United States, and filmed it in four and a half weeks.
"After it became famous, there was a hundred million people who took credit for making it. I don’t know how that happened." And there’s another Easy Rider myth Hopper would like to address - the fact that the film was a chaotic mess of edits and reshoots.
He adds, "All the crazy talk about how unprepared we were wasn’t true. It took a year for me to edit it because I had so much film. That’s it."

LATEST: Former BEVERLY HILLS, 90210 star GABRIELLE CARTERIS is suing the producers of the movie that left her with permanent nerve damage.
The actress, 47, was left partly paralysed after a choking scene in 2006 TV movie Past Tense went too far - and left her with no feeling in parts of her body, and her face disfigured.
She admits it was the cast and crew on the film that first noticed there was something wrong.
Carteris recalls, "On camera, my face started to change… It was like I became The Joker. I started crying and I said, `I’m so embarrassed.’" The actress has gone public with her now-manageable spasmss, which, at one point, left her with a speech impediment - and now she’s seeking retribution.
In her lawsuit, Carteris claims the producers put her in "unreasonable risk of physical harm." According to U.S. news show Access Hollywood, the producers have denied the accusations.
Carteris reveals medication has helped her control the nerve damage but cold weather and loud music can still trigger her spasms.

GARY BUSEY has publicly apologised for his bizarre behaviour on the red carpet at the Oscars last month (Feb08) when he lunged at a terrified JENNIFER GARNER and planted an unwanted kiss on her neck.
The actress and pal Laura Linney were in the middle of a live interview when Busey approached the pair and embraced and kissed them.
Nervous Garner had to struggle to maintain her composure as Busey then stood right next to her for the remainder of the televised interview with U.S. TV and radio personality Ryan Seacrest, before Linney dragged her away to safety.
Busey has since revealed he had no idea the ladies were being interviewed live, and now he’s making a public apology on TV.
Speaking on U.S. TV show Extra, he says, "I got very excited and I did not know Ryan Seacrest was doing an interview. I apologised to Jennifer, I apologised to (husband) Ben (Affleck), I apologised to Ryan."

Burlesque star DITA VON TEESE is suing a British company for failing to pay her performance fees for two shows in London.
In a lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, the star claims the bosses of Erotica Limited owe her $25,000 (£12,500) for two performances at the Erotica trade show in November (07).
Von Teese, real name Heather Sweet, alleges Erotica promised to pay her $50,000 (£25,000) to perform two shows daily, but only paid her half.
She also alleges that the company is using her name and image to promote its 2008 event - without her permission.

Hustler boss LARRY FLYNT has offered the prostitute who brought down New York Governor ELIOT SPITZER a $1 million (GBP500,000) deal to pose naked for his magazine.
Spitzer has announced his resignation and will officially step down as New York’s Governor on Monday (17Mar08) after news of his dealings with $1,000 (GBP500)-an-hour call girl Ashley Alexandra Dupre went public via the New York Times newspaper.
And Flynt is convinced the high-class hooker, who works for prostitution and escort agency the Emperors Club VIP, would be a perfect fit for his men’s magazine.
Flynt says, "We think this is an item that is going to stay in the news for some time.

Rocker EDDIE VEDDER was forced to pull out of a special screening of the anti-war documentary he has partly scored at the South by Southwest festival in Texas on Thursday (13Mar08) to nurse a sick relative back to health.
Vedder, who recorded new material for and curated the soundtrack to Body Of War, was expected to join other musical activists like Billy Bragg and Tom Morello at the screening.
When he didn’t show, fans were told the rocker was caring for an ailing relative and unable to make the premiere of the film and concert.
Instead, Bragg, Morello, Serj Tankian and Ben Harper performed brief sets after the screening of the hard-hitting film, about paralysed Iraq war veteran Tomas Young.
Morello ended the rousing anti-establishment concert by performing Woody Guthrie’s This Land is Your Land with Bragg and Tankian.

COLDPLAY are to play their only summer festival in Canada after signing on to headline the inaugural Pemberton Valley event in July (08).
The Brits will join rapper Jay-Z, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Nine Inch Nails and the Tragically Hip at the first festival, which is modelled on Glastonbury in England and Coachella in California.
More than 40,000 music fans are expected to attend the festival, which takes place just outside mountain town Pemberton, which is north of Whistler.
Shane Bourbonnais, president of festival promoters Live Nation, tells The Vancouver Sun newspaper the Pemberton event is sure to become one of the world’s most beautiful three-day music festivals.
He explains, "The setting is second to none… I don’t think there’s a festival site that can compare to this one. You’re at the base of Mount Currie and you’re 25 minutes from world-class Whistler." Live Nation is dedicated to making this a green festival by offering free parking to those who can fill a car with festivalgoers, and powering the event with hydro-electric energy.

Rocker BO BICE is set to become a dad for the second time after announcing his wife, CAROLINE, is pregnant with the couple’s second child.
The former American Idol runner-up’s partner is due in August (08).
Bice tells People magazine, "We don’t know if it’s a boy or girl yet and don’t care as long as it’s healthy and has all its fingers and toes." The couple, who married in 2005, already have a two-year-old son, called Aidan.

The expectant mother is now suing the publication, and has logged onto her MySpace.com page to thank fans for helping her through the tough times.

Bosses at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles have fired a dozen employees for snooping in BRITNEY SPEARS’ records.
Hospital officials have suspended another six people after discovering as many as 20 staff members had attempted to defy medical centre rules and obtain confidential information about Spears, a recent patient.
The pop star was hospitalised in the facility’s psychiatric ward at the beginning of last month (Feb08).
Those disciplined include physicians, according to the Los Angeles Times newspaper.
The security breaches also prompted hospital officials to reveal they had also disciplined and sacked staff for looking at Spears’ confidential records following the birth to her first son, Sean Preston, in 2005.
UCLA officials reveal they sent a memo to all staff when Spears was admitted to hospital, warning employees that snooping through a celebrity patient’s records would be considered a violation of federal patient privacy law the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
The email read, "Please remember that any unauthorized access by a workforce member will be subject to disciplinary action, which could include termination." The hospital officials confirm those disciplined include both medical and non-medical employees, but no doctors were targeted for firing.

Rapper THE GAME is set for a fresh legal battle just days after his release from jail.
The man responsible for putting the rap star behind bars has hit The Game with a civil suit, claiming assault, battery and a civil rights violation, according to TMZ.com.
The Game, real name Jayceon Taylor, pleaded no contest to felony possession of a firearm in a school zone after Shannon Rodrick claimed the rapper approached him with a gun during a fight in the middle of a street basketball game.
He served eight days of a 60-day sentence and was released from Los Angeles’ Twin Towers Correctional Facility on Monday (10Mar08).
