DAVE CLARK FIVE GOT STUCK IN ELEVATOR WITH HANKS
THE DAVE CLARK FIVE got to know TOM HANKS better than they anticipated ahead of their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Monday (10Mar08) night they all got stuck in an elevator together.
Hanks inducted the British rockers into the hallowed institute at a ceremony at New York’s Waldorf Astoria Hotel.
Drummer Dave Clark reveals a technical error left the band members trapped in close confines with the Oscar winner.
Clark says, "It’s a very funny story. We were stuck in a lift with Tom for 15 minutes. We had a good joke about it."
