Caveman adventure movie 10,000 B.C. has clubbed its way to debut at the top of the international box office chart with takings of $25.3 million (£12.65 million).
A day after claiming the top spot in America on its first weekend on release, the pre-historic film, directed by Roland Emmerich, has narrowly beaten competition from record-breaking French movie Bienvenue Chez Les Ch’tis to become the most popular film outside the U.S.
Bienvenue Chez Lez Ch’tis, which recently broke French box office records by scoring $39.7 million (£19.85 million) in its first week on release, is at two with $25.2 million (£12.6 million).
After three weeks at number one, Jumper falls to three with $12.2 million (£6.1 million), while Vantage Point drops two places to four with $10.5 million (£5.25 million).
