GREASE STAR CONAWAY DRUNK AT THREE
Troubled GREASE star JEFF CONAWAY owes his alcohol addiction to a boozy childhood - he first got drunk when he was three.
The actor, who is currently battling drinking, cocaine and painkiller issues, admits his family had a very liberal approach to alcohol.
He says, "My grandmother used to make beer in the bathtub and we’d drink together; we’d sit there and suck on the hose and drink this deep dark brown beer that she would make.
"The first time I got drunk, I was three; I drank a bottle of sherry. I thought it tasted like ice-cream." Conaway is hoping to kick his alcohol addiction with help from celebrity psychologist Dr. Drew Pinsky and former Grease co-star John Travolta, who recently introduced the troubled star to a Church of Scientology addiction treatment program.
Conaway was among the stars who took part in Dr. Pinsky’s reality TV hit Celebrity Rehab, but he quit the televised treatment early. He now hopes to return to the show for a planned second season.
