ALLEN: ‘MY DAD USED TO STEAL FROM MY MUM’
British star LILY ALLEN’s father used to steal his ex-wife’s expensive pots and pans to sell on the street - because he was so short of money.
The LDN hitmaker used to accompany her cash-strapped dad - actor Keith Allen - to Portobello Market, in London, to help him shift the stolen goods.
And the singer, 22 - who witnessed her father split from her mum, movie-maker Alison Owen, when she was four years old - blames money struggles for her parents’ marriage breakdown.
She says, "When my parents split up my dad was completely skint. He’s come and pick me and my brother up and steal my mum’s Le Creuset pots and pans and make us go to Portobello market and sell them.
"But we’d get moved on because we didn’t have a licence."
