NINE INCH NAILS ‘FREE’ ALBUM SELLS OUT
LATEST: Rockers NINE INCH NAILS have sold out of an "ultradeluxe" edition of their new LP - despite releasing the album’s tracks for free via Internet download.
The band sold out of their limited edition box set of Ghost I-IV after fans purchased 2,500 physical copies for $300 (£150), according to BlabberMouth.net.
The official website NIN.com grinded to a virtual halt on Monday (03Mar08) after the Hurt hitmakers allowed listeners to download a nine-track version of their album for free. Fans were also given the choice to pay $5 (£2.50) for the whole album; $10 (£5) for a double disc set; or $75 (£37.50) for a deluxe version.
