MONTAG’S STEPBROTHER DIES IN FREAK ACCIDENT
The stepbrother of THE HILLS star HEIDI MONTAG has died in an accident at the Colorado hotel where he was employed - one month after he was discharged from the U.S. Army.
Eric O’Hara, a member of the 82nd Airborne Division which fought in Iraq and Afghanistan, slipped on an icy roof and fell to his death on Thursday (28Feb08), reports TMZ.com.
The 24-year-old had been removing snow from the rooftop of the Steamboat Grand Resort Hotel in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, and had unclipped his safety hold to move along the roof when a piece of ice broke, causing him to fall.
Montag’s father Bill is married to O’Hara’s mother Terri.
