LIBERTINES REUNITE TO PEN MUSICAL

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 12:45 am

Former LIBERTINES bandmates PETE DOHERTY and CARL BARAT are reuniting to pen a musical.
The British rockers split in 2004 after Doherty failed to kick his drug habit - with the singer going on to front his own band Babyshambles and Barat forming Dirty Pretty Things.
And although Barat insists there will be no full Libertines reunion, he has agreed to work with Doherty on a rock musical to be shown at London’s prestigious Donmar Warehouse.
He says, "A producer from the theatre approached me through my record label.
So I went down there to see a play and we met up for a chat. He asked me if I was still in contact with Pete and whether we would be interested in writing a musical together for the Donmar for the early part of 2009.
"I asked Pete and he loves the idea. He has invited me to Wiltshire (in England) this weekend to start writing it."
