JUDD HELPS CHARITY FUNDRAISER FOR TORNADO VICTIMS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:39 am

Country singer WYNONNA JUDD has helped to raise more than $17,000 (£8,500) for victims of the Tennessee tornadoes.
The star was the headlining act for a charity gig on Friday (29Feb08), which aimed to raise funds for those displaced by the natural disaster which struck her homestate last month (Feb08), killing 32 people and leaving more than 190 injured.
The fundraiser held a special place in her heart, because Judd was a victim of the tornadoes herself.
The 43-year-old found herself holding on for dear life as the strong winds shook her house, while her two kids took refuge under the stairs.
She says, "Our road looks like a war zone. It’s pretty bad."
