He says, "I love Ireland. It’s great craic (fun) meeting all my mates.
Sometimes I think, ‘Jesus, this is so good. Why aren’t I always here?’ "The answer is my son. He lives in the U.S. with his mam and he needs his dad there too. That’s my job as a dad and where I have to be. End of story."

NEW BOND VILLAIN MODELS SMILE ON TONY BLAIR

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:15 pm

MATHIEU AMALRIC has drawn inspiration from an unlikely source for his forthcoming role as the new JAMES BOND villain - the former U.K. prime minister TONY BLAIR.
Amalric, who is set to play evil Dominic Greene in Quantum Of Solace, insists his character will have none of the traditional villainous trademarks.
Instead, the French actor has adopted the British politician’s lopsided smile.
He says, "There’ll be no metal jaw, no white hair, no scar, no eye with blood. Just my fave. The director saw something in me that had to do with the devil. Oh yes! I’ve taken Tony Blair’s smile." Quantum Of Solace, starring Daniel Craig as the superspy, is set to be released in November (08).

COTILLARD QUESTIONS EVENTS OF 9/11

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:12 pm

Oscar-winner MARION COTILLARD faces a potential backlash in America after casting doubt on the official account of the September 11 (01) terrorist atrocities in New York.
The French star - who scooped the Best Actress Academy Award for her role in Edith Piaf biopic La Vie En Rose - has controversially blasted the accepted theory that the two towers of the World Trade Center were brought crashing down by the two planes that struck them.
She believes the skyscrapers, planned in the early 1960s, were considered an outdated "money sucker" that would have cost too much to modernise.
In an interview in her native France, Cotillard said, "I think we’re lied to about a number of things. We see other towers of the same kind being hit by planes, are they burned? "There was a tower, I believe it was in Spain, which burned for 24 hours. It never collapsed. None of these towers collapsed. And there (New York), in a few minutes, the whole thing collapsed." Cotillard also doubts the footage of Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landing on the moon in 1969 is genuine, and cites this as yet another example of her distrust in U.S. officials.
She adds, "Did a man really walk on the moon? I saw plenty of documentaries on it, and I really wondered. And in any case I don’t believe all they tell me, that’s for sure."

STARR: ‘ALCOHOL HELPED ME TO COPE’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:09 pm

BEATLES drummer RINGO STARR blames his alcoholism on his inability to function sober following the break-up of the legendary band.
The 67-year-old drifted into a downward spiral of depression after the Penny Lane hitmakers broke up in 1970 - and turned to alcohol as a way of coping.
And Starr, who went on to score a number of hit solo albums after the Beatles disbanded, is convinced he nearly destroyed his career with drink.
He says, "I recorded a lot of things drunk - because I was a drunk. I felt I could deal with life more easily with a few drinks. The problem was a few turned into many." Starr eventually entered rehab and slowly recovered but insists staying sober was a major struggle.
He adds, "I can remember only the start of having that final drink. I drank cognac then I blacked out. A couple of days later I ended up in rehab.
"Living sober was difficult. I had to learn to go to a show, never mind be in a show or be in a studio and play. A lot of other parts of life I had to start again."

PLANT REJECTED $200 MILLION LED ZEPPELIN TOUR

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:09 pm

LED ZEPPELIN frontman ROBERT PLANT has reportedly turned down a $200 million (£100 million) deal to revive the legendary band for a world tour.
According to British newspaper the Sunday Mirror, the singer was offered the multi-million dollar sum to embark on a series of live dates across the globe but rejected it in order to concentrate on his current partnership with country star Alison Krauss. The rockers reformed in December (07) for a one-off tribute concert in London after a 27-year absence, and despite massive demand, the band have refused to confirm whether they are planning any more live dates.
But a source tells the Sunday Mirror that a deal was scuppered by Plant, saying, "Despite the enormous offer, the decision did not come down to money. "Jimmy (Page, guitarist) had enjoyed the concert in December enough to want to tour again. He argued they still had something to offer. "John (Paul, bassist) sided with Jimmy. He loved making music with the others again.
"But Robert wanted to leave last year’s concert as their legacy. They had proved they could still do it and that was enough."
