Oscar winner HALLE BERRY is set to add fragrance mogul to her resume - after signing a deal to lend her name to a range of perfumes for cosmetic giant Coty.
The Monster star joins a host of stars including Jennifer Lopez, David and Victoria Beckham, Sarah Jessica Parker and Gwen Stefani, who have previously developed fragrances for the beauty giant.
Berry will develop a ‘fragrance portfolio’ for the company, and will appear in Coty’s advertising campaigns for the forthcoming products.
Steve Mormoris, of Coty, says, "Halle is an iconic actress and symbolizes beauty to many generations.
"She adds another dimension to the celebrity fragrance market. Halle has always been a little more mysterious, not quite as open with her personal life as some other stars. Her fragrances will allow her to present another facet of her personality to her fans." The range will hit stores around the world in 2009.

British actress KEIRA KNIGHTLEY is desperate to take her style cues from BJORK and HELENA BONHAM CARTER - but doesn’t yet have the confidence to emulate their outlandish tastes.
The Atonement star is keen on being in the limelight for her choice of outfits and cites the unique fashion sense of singer Bjork and actress Bonham Carter as her style icons.
She says, "I don’t think I’m confident enough yet to be used to being in the limelight because of my style.
"But I loved the swan dress Bjork wore to the 2001 Oscars. I’d love to have the courage to do the same." And Knightley reserves high praise for Bonham Carter: "Helena wears whatever she wants and looks amazing."

MARIAH CAREY is set to repay funnyman JACK McBRAYER for his cameo in her new video TOUCH MY BODY - buy guest starring in his American TV comedy 30 ROCK.
McBrayer, who plays Kenneth The Page in the hit show, agreed to take part in Carey’s saucy new promo - as a computer nerd who dreams of romancing the pop superstar.
And the singer was so taken with the TV star, she’s considering joining the cast of his show.
She says, "I love 30 Rock and he’s hilarious on the show. It would be fun (to do the show)."

Oscar winner MARISA TOMEI, NATALIE PORTMAN and rocker CHRIS DAUGHTRY have cooked up a few Italian treats for a new online recipe book.
The stars have teamed up with top chef Mario Batali to create a cookbook resource that fans of all things Italian can download from website CelebrityItalianTable.com - $1 (50p) from every purchase will go to homeless charities.
It’s not Batali’s only recent brush with celebrity - he is currently filming a cooking series in Spain with Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow.

Wrestling icon HULK HOGAN has been rocked by another bombshell as he recovers from his shock marriage split - he has been romantically linked to his teenage daughter BROOKE’s former assistant.
A new U.S. tabloid report claims Hogan had an affair with 33year-old Christiane Plante, while he was married to now-estranged wife Linda.
The National Enquirer claims the wrestling great started romancing Plante 12 months before his 24-year marriage fell apart in 2007.
Plante tells the publication, "I will never be able to fully forgive myself for this. I have lost an amazing friend." Hogan, who is hoping for a reconciliation with his wife, stating, "It’s a tough time but we’re all staying strong," says, "I have no comment. I haven’t seen the story."

LATEST: British royal PRINCE HARRY hopes his late mother DIANA, PRINCESS OF WALES, would be proud of his involvement in fighting the Taliban in Afghanistan.
The 23-year-old, who is third in line to the throne, was deployed to the war-torn country late last year (07) as the British government issued a media blackout on the situation to avoid any potential kidnap plots involving the young royal.
News of the prince’s posting was leaked by foreign media on Thursday (28Feb08).
And Harry hopes his mother, who was killed in a car crash in Paris, France, in 1997, would approve of his duty.
He tells the Press Association, "Hopefully she would be proud.
"She would be looking down having a giggle about the stupid things that I’ve been doing, like going left when I should have gone right, finding myself in an awkward position earlier today." Harry adds his older brother Prince William is also lending his support: "(He) sent me a letter saying how proud he reckons that she would be."

J.K. ROWLING feels ‘"exploited" over the planned publication of an unofficial HARRY POTTER encyclopedia.
The author and Warner Brothers, which owns the rights to the boy wizard books, filed a lawsuit against publisher RDR Books in October (07) over The Harry Potter Lexicon, based on fan Steve Vander Ark’s website of the same name.
The book was due for publication in November last year (07).
In a declaration filed in the U.S. District Court in New York on Thursday (28Feb08), she says, "I am very frustrated that a former fan has tried to co-opt my work for financial gain. "I believe that RDR’s book constitutes a Harry Potter ‘rip off’ of the type I have spent years trying to prevent, and that both I, as the creator of this world, and fans of Harry Potter, would be exploited by its publication.
"I feel intensely protective, firstly, of the literary world I spent so long creating, and secondly, of the fans who bought my books in such large numbers." The suit seeks to stop publication of the tome and requests damages for copyright and federal trademark infringement and any profits to be gained from the work. RDR and Vander Ark argue the 400-page book would promote sales of Rowling’s work.
Rowling herself insists she plans to write her own definitive Harry Potter encyclopedia - including previously unseen material - and will donate the proceeds to charity. Speaking last year (07) , Rowling told of her disappointment over the fact that she had been forced to take legal action over the planned publication of The Harry Potter Lexicon.
She said, "On the contrary, I feel massively disappointed that this matter had to come to court at all. Given my past good relations with the Lexicon fan site, I can only feel sad and disillusioned that this is where we have ended up."

German singer IVAN REBROFF has died. He was 76.
The star - who was famed for popularising Russian songs - died on Thursday (28Feb08) in Frankfurt, Germany after a long battle with illness.
Rebroff found fame in 1968 after he was cast as Tevjo in Fiddler On The Roof in Paris, France - a role he performed 1,476 times in his career, according to his agent.
He was renowned for his vocal rage of four and a half octaves, and his embrace of a range of genres, including opera and folk.
Rebroff performed his last concert in Vienna, Austria in December (07), before announcing his retirement due to health reasons.

U.S. rockers THE KILLERS surprised the audience at Thursday’s (28Feb08) NME Awards - after securing a bizarre cameo from boxer MIKE TYSON for their acceptance speech.
The Mr Brightside stars were named Best International Band at the ceremony in London, but supplied a video message of thanks as they were unable to attend the event.
The message was set in a barber’s shop - with Tyson peering from behind a magazine in the footage, reminding frontman Brandon Flowers to thank God for the accolade.

VAMPIRE WEEKEND rocker CHRIS THOMPSON has suffered a head injury after he was hit by a car in London.
The drummer with the U.S. band was involved in a collision with a vehicle outside the Hoxton hotel in the east of the city at around 12:30am following Thursday’s (28Feb08) NME Awards.
Thompson was treated by medical staff after an ambulance was called, and was taken to the Royal London Hospital following the incident.

Recent reports had suggested Spears and her lawyers were hoping to get visitation rights up to three times a week.

The Canadian director is upset his hit film won’t be considered for a Genie, even though it features Canadian actors - because it wasn’t financed by Canadian dollars.
He fumes, "How are we not eligible for a Genie when David Cronenberg’s film about Russians living in London, shot in England with a British crew and British cast, is eligible? "I’m sorry, but somebody is going to have to explain that to me; I don’t get it."

LINDSAY LOHAN has blamed "work stress" for the substance abuse problems that landed her in rehab last year (07).
The Mean Girls star, who spent last summer at a Utah rehabilitation centre, also claims she used drink and drugs to escape from the emotional pain brought on by being estranged from her father Michael.
Lohan, who reunited with her dad in rehab, says, "I had a lot going on in my life and that was a way of hiding from it.
"I hadn’t seen my dad. I had a lot of work stress because I was constantly working and never took time to stop.
"Everything was go-go-go, and the easiest thing was to run away from it, going out and drinking at night. You know, you don’t have to think when you let go sometimes.
"But I didn’t realise it was getting in the way of my work, what I’ve worked for my whole life."

Music drama THE FIVE HEARTBEATS has topped a list naming the best urban movies of all time.
The 1991 film, which was written and produced by its star Robert Townsend, follows the rise and fall of a 1960s African-American vocal group.
At two on the AOL Black Voices website list is A Solider’s Story, followed by Steven Spielberg’s The Color Purple, which starred Whoopi Goldberg, Danny Glover and Oprah Winfrey.

STEVEN SPIELBERG’s dislike for garlic cost him a romance with TV star VALERIE BERTINELLI.
The couple dated for three months after she auditioned for Raiders Of The Lost Ark, but when the director turned his nose up at her culinary skills, the 19-year-old Bertinelli realised the relationship was doomed.
