PARIS HILTON has confirmed that her next foray into reality TV will be a quirky attempt to find a new best friend forever (BFF).
The former Simple Life star will front a new MTV show in which female contestants will compete to be the socialite-turned-actress’ pal.
Hilton giggles, "I’m really excited about this concept. I’m going to meet a lot of great girlfriends." And the hotel heiress likens the upcoming reality show to the college experience she never had.
She tells In Touch Weekly magazine, "I never got to go to college and this will be my chance to be in a sorority and have that experience.

KATIE HOLMES has denied a report she’s pregnant with her second child.
The Batman Begins star and husband Tom Cruise, who have a 22-month-old daughter, Suri, together, are said to be expecting another baby in the new edition of American magazine OK!.
But Holmes’ spokesperson has dismissed the report as false: "She’s not pregnant."

Pregnant actress TRACEY GOLD is refusing to follow Hollywood trends - she’s going public with her unborn baby’s sex and name.
While many celebrities choose to keep their baby details to themselves and some, like Christina Aguilera, Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Lopez, refuse to talk about their pregnancy until they absolutely have to, the Growing Pains star is even announcing her due date.
Appearing on U.S. talk show The View on Wednesday (27Feb08), Gold revealed she’s due on 10 April (08), and she’s expecting a fourth son.
She said, "We already have a name - Dylan." And Gold, 38, and her husband of 13 years - Roby Marshall - are already reconsidering plans not to get pregnant again.

X-MEN star JAMES MARSDEN is to be honoured by America’s Tourette Syndrome Association for his work with children afflicted with the neurobiological disorder.
The actor will be the guest of honour at the organisation’s 2008 Champion Of Children Awards Dinner at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Los Angeles on Wednesday night (27Feb08).

He reveals, "It was actually Claire Trevor (Day’s The High & Mighty co-star).
It’s something that Laraine Day’s family would watch and say, ‘Jeez, that’s not Mom!’ (But) it got fixed." Trevor actually died in 2000.

Actress KATHLEEN TURNER is hoping the next joint operation on her knees and feet will be her last because she’s tired of the painful procedure.
The ageing beauty suffers from chronic rheumatoid arthritis and has to undergo operations every October (08) to keep her out of a wheelchair.
She says, "I hope it’ll be my last one this year.
"I’m a little worried about keeping my left knee; I had to have my right knee replaced… It’s such fun at airports - I stand there saying, ‘Yes I have a titanium knee.’" Turner remains upbeat about her annual operations - because the alternative is unthinkable.
She adds, "They told me that I would be in a wheelchair for the rest of my life and I said, ‘I don’t think so.’"

Surfing singer/songwriter JACK JOHNSON refuses to tour for more than a month at a time - because he struggles to sleep when he’s not in his own bed at his home in Hawaii.
The hit folk singer has cancelled shows in the past when anxiety dreams keep him up at night, and so now he has fixed touring rules that allow him to play away from his Oahu home and then return for fun and surf.
He tells Rolling Stone magazine, "That’s when I know I’ve got to take a break, kick back and get out of the public eye." But there is a solution to his touring issues that he’s working on: "If I could go canoe-paddling or sailing every day while I was out on tour, I wouldn’t be itching to get home so bad.
"Just get me out in the ocean, really. Growing up, I would try to surf for three, four hours a day. I’ve become dependent on it.
"It’s hard when you start an addiction at five."

SOLANGE KNOWLES is following big sister BEYONCE’s lead and recruiting a band of unknowns to join her on tour.
Beyonce held auditions for a dance troupe to appear in her videos and perform live with her and now Solange is hoping to form her own band the same way.
She will be holding auditions for her Hadley Street Dreams Band in her adopted home of Los Angeles on 6 March (08).
And she’s hoping that her new recruits will be able to double up as dancers too.
A spokesman for Knowles says, "The Hadley Street Dreams, a ’60s-inspired full band, will perform all live shows with Solange in support of her upcoming album, to be released this August (08)." Knowles’ requirements include two female backing singers, a drummer, guitar player, bass player and two pianists.
Musicians who cannot make it to the March audition are invited to submit an try-out video to Knowles’ website.

FRANK SINATRA’s first wife is reportedly fighting for her life after suffering her second heart attack.
Nancy Sinatra, who was married to the crooner for 12 years until their divorce in 1951, checked into Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center a few weeks ago after a cardiac arrest, reports the National Enquirer.
She was released from the hospital last week (ends22Feb08), and is currently at her Beverly Hills, California home.
A source tells the tabloid, "She is now very weak and practically bedridden at home. It was her second heart attack in two years. It was a very close call - and it’s drawn the family together." Nancy is the mother of Frank Sinatra’s three children Nancy Jr., Tina and Frank Jr.

Pop superstar PRINCE is to undergo hip replacement surgery, according to new reports.
The Purple Rain singer is setting aside two months to recover from the upcoming operation, reports British newspaper News Of The World.

A New York judge has ruled rapper JA RULE cannot post bail for his two co-defendants in a gun possession case.
In a hearing on Wednesday (27Feb08), State Supreme Justice Micki Scherer told the court she’s "troubled" that Ja Rule, real name Jeffrey Atkins, paid thousands of dollars in bail for Dennis Cherry and Mohamed Gamal.
Scherer said the hip-hop star has "put himself in the position of perhaps controlling the outcome of the case," adding, "I think the potential for (that) is a big problem." Cherry and Gamal must now raise their own bail money.
The three men were arrested and charged with criminal weapons possession last summer (07), after a loaded semi-automatic firearm was allegedly found in a car they were travelling in.
