CLOONEY TURNED DOWN DAD’S ROSEANNE ADVICE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:37 am

A little paternal advice almost cost GEORGE CLOONEY his big screen career when dad tried to persuade his son not to quit 1980s sitcom ROSEANNE.
Former journalist Nick Clooney told his actor son to sign a contract extension for the show, but the Oscar winner chose to ignore his father’s career advice.
In an impressive Time magazine expose on Clooney, his father says, "He was offered a stupendous amount of money to continue to do Roseanne.
"I was thinking he could build a little nest egg and maybe acting would pay off after all. He said, ‘No, I’ll be in a cul-de-sac. I’ll be that guy, and that’s all I’ll be.’"
