FEDERLINE PRAISES FATHER FOR SPEARS’ PROGRESS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:21 pm

KEVIN FEDERLINE is delighted his ex-wife BRITNEY SPEARS is now well enough to visit their children - praising the star’s father for her recovery.
The troubled Toxic singer was allowed to visit her sons on Saturday (23Feb08) for the first time in over a month after Federline insisted he wanted the boys to be reunited with their mother.
Spears had her visitation rights to two-year-old Sean Preston and Jayden James, one, stripped following a public breakdown at her Beverly Hills, California, home last month (Jan08) but reached an agreement with her ex-husband on Friday (22Feb08) allowing her to see the boys - but only under the supervision of her father Jamie Spears and a psychiatrist.
And Federline’s spokesman, Eliot Mintz, has credited Jamie Spears with getting his daughter the help she needed. He says, "Jamie Spears went a long way in terms of stabilising an environment that surrounded Britney which was wildly in a flux. It’s clear that Britney is in a different place now than she was two weeks ago." Spears was hospitalised under a mental health order this month (Feb08) and her father was subsequently awarded conservatorship of her estate.

SPEARS REUNITED WITH SONS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:18 pm

LATEST: BRITNEY SPEARS has been reunited with her sons, just weeks after she had her visitation rights revoked following a breakdown at her Beverly Hills home.
The troubled Toxic singer spent three hours with her sons, two-year-old Sean Preston and Jayden James, one, on Saturday (23Feb08) after reaching a visitation agreement with ex-husband Kevin Federline on Friday (22Feb08).
Spears picked the boys up from Federline’s Tarzana, California home on Saturday morning, in the company of her father Jamie and her psychiatrist, according to People.com.
Photographers who witnessed the scene claim Federline buckled his children into their car seats before Spears drove off for her three-hour day trip with her kids.
In January (08), Spears’ visitation rights were taken from her after she reportedly held her children captive in her Beverly Hills mansion, sparking a stand-off with emergency services.
Last week (ends22Feb08) the singer failed to have her visitation rights reinstated, but Federline responded to the ruling by insisting he wanted his kids to have a relationship with their mother.

KNIGHTLEY’S CHEST ENHANCED WITH ‘BOSOM MAKE-UP’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:18 pm

Actress KEIRA KNIGHTLEY worked with a special make-up artist on the set of the PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN movies - to transform her naturally flat chest into a pair of heaving bosoms.
The 22-year-old, who has nicknamed her modest breasts "pecs", spent 45 minutes in a beautician’s chair every morning to create the illusion of cleavage spilling over the corset she wore in her role as Elizabeth Swann.
She says, "They painted my tits on me for the films, which is extraordinary because it’s kind of a dying art form - in the past, they used to have whole sections of the studios devoted to bosom make-up. "And I loved it, completely loved it. Because it was the first time in my life I had big tits, and I didn’t even need surgery." It is not the first time Knightley’s bust has been cleverly enhanced. In 2004, U.S. posters for her film King Arthur featured the slim actress’ breasts boosted to an ample C-cup.

The Closet Thing To Crazy hitmaker fell in with a gang of pals who often stole items from shops and owned up to taking part in the criminal activity when she was just 13.

LOHAN AND MURPHY WIN BIG AT RAZZIES

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:15 pm

LINDSAY LOHAN and EDDIE MURPHY have been named and shamed as the worst actors of 2007, after landing a spray-painted trophy apiece at the Golden Raspberry Awards.
Lohan’s movie I Know Who Killed Me broke records by scooping eight of the nine prizes it was nominated for at the spoof Oscars ceremony - nicknamed the Razzies - in Los Angeles on Saturday (23Feb08).
Lohan alone managed to win two - for Worst Actress and Worst Screen Couple, for a scene in the movie in which she appears alongside herself.
Worst Film winner I Know Who Killed Me has smashed the unenviable record set by John Travolta-starring sci-fi Battlefield Earth and stripper drama Showgirls, which each scored seven wins at previous ceremonies.
Murphy was awarded three of the four prizes in the worst acting categories for the trio of characters, male and female, he played in the critically mauled but commercially successful Norbit.
Due to the prize-winning dominance of I Know Who Killed Me and Norbit, Daddy Day Camp was the only other movie to be humiliated with a Razzie gong, for Worst Prequel or Sequel.
The full list of Razzie winners - or losers, rather - is as follows: Worst Film: I Know Who Killed Me Worst Actor: Eddie Murphy in Norbit Worst Actress (tie): Lohan & Lohan as twin sisters Aubrey and Dakota in I Know Who Killed Me Worst Supporting Actress: Eddie Murphy in Norbit Worst Supporting Actor: Murphy in Norbit Worst Screen Couple: Lohan & Lohan in I Know Who Killed Me Worst Remake or Rip-Off: I Know Who Killed Me, based on several films Worst Prequel or Sequel: Daddy Day Camp Worst Director: Chris Siverston for I Know Who Killed Me Worst Screenplay: Jeffrey Hammond for I Know Who Killed Me Worst Excuse for a Horror Movie (New Category): I Know Who Killed Me

CODY RETHINKS OSCARS RED CARPET FOOTWEAR

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:15 pm

Oscar-nominated screenwriter DIABLO CODY is having second thoughts about donning "million dollar shoes" to the Oscars, insisting she had no idea the STUART WEITZMAN footwear deal would bring her so much attention.
WENN broke the news that the Juno writer had been chosen to wear the one-of-a-kind Kwiat diamond shoes on Friday (22Feb08), but, in a posting on her MySpace.com page, Cody says she had no idea the Weitzman creations would become the talk of Hollywood fashion circles.
Recalling the fitting, Cody writes, "They (shoes) were sparkly. Kind of retro. With hefty brooches to be affixed atop each narrow toebox. I was pleased, but it wasn’t, like, an event." The screenwriter insists she had no idea the heels were the fabled ‘million dollar shoes’ that Weitzman crafts for a celebrity Oscar attendee every year.
She adds, "I must have somehow missed the part where my shoes cost a MILLION F**KING DOLLARS and my ‘choice’ of footwear would be publicised nationwide. I honestly thought they were just sparkly shoes.
"I’m flattered that they picked me (surprise!) to wear the Pimp Shooz…
(but) I’m actually really p**sed about this… They’re using me to publicise their stupid shoes and NOBODY ASKED ME. I would never consent to a lame publicity stunt at a time when I already want to hide." In a statement to WENN, Weitzman, who also crafted a ballerinastyle flat for Cody to change into after walking the red carpet in high heels, says, "Diablo Cody is a wonderful, talented writer, whose movie I enjoyed watching. I will certainly be rooting for her on Sunday evening. We wish her the best." After the Oscars, the shoes are returned to Weitzman for display purposes.
Mulholland Drive actress Laura Harring was the first celebrity to wear the million dollar shoes at the 2002 Oscars.

O’CONNOR ATTACKS ‘UNLISTENABLE’ MINOGUE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:09 pm

Outspoken singer SINEAD O’CONNOR has launched a scathing attack on KYLIE MINOGUE, insisting she can’t "bear" to listen to the antipodean’s music.
The controversial Irish star - who once tore up a photo of the late Pope John Paul II on stage - was so aurally offended by a recent live Minogue broadcast, she had to switch off her TV.
She says, "I really can’t stand Kylie’s music at all. I know Australian fans might want to shoot me for saying this, but that would be a far better option than to listen to one of her albums.
"She was on Irish television recently. I couldn’t bear it and had to turn it off." O’Connor isn’t the only musician to voice disapproval of the Australian singer - last week (ends22Feb08) former Stone Roses frontman Ian Brown blasted the Brit Awards board for handing Minogue the Best International Female prize.

VANDALS ATTACK STARR TRIBUTE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:09 pm

Angry vandals have attacked a tribute to RINGO STARR in his hometown after the BEATLES legend made disparaging remarks about the city of Liverpool, England, in a TV interview.
The drummer appeared on a British chat show last month (jan08) and told host Jonathan Ross there was "nothing" he missed about the area since leaving to pursue his music career.
And his comments have angered people in the city, who are fiercely proud of the area’s link to the Beatles, with vandals defacing a tribute to Starr at his former school.
A sign at a playground, named Starr Fields in his honour, was daubed with spray paint - with the 67-year-old’s face blanked out and the word "traitor" scrawled next to it.

COMBS FUMING OVER APARTMENT DEMANDS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:09 pm

SEAN ‘DIDDY’ COMBS is furious after he was barred from moving in to a luxurious New York apartment building unless he agreed to a list of demands from the neighbours.
On hearing that the rap mogul was looking to buy a home in the block, residents issued the star with a set of rules to adhere to - which included not playing any loud music or hosting any wild parties.
Combs, 38, was angered by his neighbours’ pre-conceptions about his lifestyle - insisting he is just a family man when he is at home.
He says, "It was offensive to make stipulations based on anything they’d heard about black rappers. Tom Cruise is well known for blowing stuff up in movies but no one is telling him not to bring big guns into the joint. "I have six kids and when I’m at home I raise them just like anyone else." Combs’ children include Justin Dior, 14, Christian Casey, seven, Chance Chapman, one, and twins D’Lila Star and Jessie James, one.

LEDGER TRIBUTES & REVELATIONS AT SPIRIT AWARDS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:09 am

Tragic HEATH LEDGER was honoured for his "dazzling creative spirit" by I’M NOT THERE filmmaker TODD HAYNES at the Film Independent Spirit Awards on Saturday (23Feb08).
In accepting the annual independent film event’s first Robert Altman Award for director and ensemble cast, Haynes stated he was "shattered" by Ledger’s "inconceivable absence." He said, "We all loved him so dearly. He really was unlike anybody I’ve ever known, giving up of himself less like an actor than a creative partner." Haynes then paid tribute to the late actor’s hidden talents as a director of "diverse music videos," and revealed his actor pal was in the process of making his feature film directorial debut before he died in January (08).
The moviemaker added, "He had just started circulating a feature script that he was planning to direct - an adaptation of The Queen’s Gambit by Walter Tevis.
"I have no doubt he would have made an astounding director… I treasure the time we shared on this film and the love and talent that he gave so freely." In presenting the Robert Altman Award, actress Patricia Clarkson added, "Anyone who has seen the film I’m Not There will remember the line, `Live in your own times, child.’ As actors, we were lucky to live in Heath’s times. We only wish they could have been longer." Earlier during the prizegiving in Santa Monica, California, Cate Blanchett dedicated her Best Supporting Actress award to her I’m Not There co-star and fellow Aussie, Legder, who she called "probably one of the most beautiful independent spirits of all."

HOPPER TEACHES WILSON HOW TO BE TOUGH

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:07 am

DENNIS HOPPER recreated his fearsome BLUE VELVET villain for a skit at the Film Independent Spirit Awards ceremony, when he initiated first-time host RAINN WILSON.
The tough-guy actor beat The Office star up, became his pimp and turned him into a drug mule before binding him to an office chair and forcing him to hop down a street.
Indie actress Ileanna Douglas also joined in the fun, beating up Wilson on the beach in Santa Monica, California - where the awards were held on Saturday (23Feb08) - as she chatted to Hopper about the event.
The hilarious film skit ended with a newly-toughened Wilson sporting a `Hopper’s Bitch’ tattoo on his chest and the words `Indy Host’ etched on his knuckles.
In other skits taped for the ceremony, host Wilson pretended he’d auditioned for all five nominated Best Feature films and showed off the screen tests. He actually featured in one of the movies, Juno.
In one hilarious scene with I’m Not There director Todd Haynes, Wilson presented an awful impersonation of Bob Dylan, prompting the filmmaker to smash up the guitar he was playing.
He also lived up to his pre-show promise to bare his backside, re-enacting a "homo-erotic shower" scene from Paranoid Park, and he tried out as pregnant teen Juno with co-star Jason Bateman.
