Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:36 pm

LINDSAY LOHAN forthcoming album will feature songs inspired by her traumatic and headline-grabbing 2007.
Jeremy Greene, the R&B singer/songwriter responsible for writing much of Lohan’s new record, admits he studied her newspaper cuttings before setting to work on two tracks he has penned for the upcoming disc.
Speaking after a recording session with Lohan in Los Angeles earlier this month (09Feb08), Greene told Life & Style magazine, "She’s working hard on her new songs. She’s just in the recording stages, but she’s going strong." He says of one track, I Miss You: "I wrote it specifically for her and what she’s going through right now. She said she relates to it. It reminds her of her relationship with her dad. She connects with it." And Greene adds of another, Faith: "I think she’ll relate to this song as well because it’s about complicated relationships in someone’s life. With everyone around her, she’s definitely dealt with these kinds of relationships."

KRAVITZ: ‘NARROW-MINDED RECORD BOSSES ALMOST KILLED MY CAREER’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:27 pm

LENNY KRAVITZ’ music career almost floundered before it had begun, because record labels refused to accept a black man could rock.
The Are You Gonna Go My Way singer is proud he stood firm and refused to let music bosses push him into R&B.
He tells Alicia Keys in a feature for Interview magazine, "That’s why I didn’t get signed for years. People would listen to my tape and say, ‘We think you’re really talented, but you can’t do this. Well, we’ll hook you up with a producer and then you can make an R&B record.’ I never went for it.
"When I look back at the person I was then, I don’t understand how I had the strength to not sell out. How does a guy who lives in his car say not to money and an apartment and an opportunity to make records? "But thank God I didn’t take any of those deals, because my career would have been over in an album."

ABC LOSES APPEAL OVER NYPD BLUE NUDE SCENES

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:48 pm

LATEST: U.S. TV network ABC has failed in its attempt to overturn a ruling penalising the broadcaster for depicting illicit nude scenes in an episode of NYPD BLUE.
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) refused to alter its judgement and the TV channel will now be forced to pay a multi-million dollar fine for showing female nudity before the American television watershed.
More than 40 affiliate TV stations have landed $27,500 (£13, 750) fines for the 2003 episode which was said to have featured "multiple, close-up views" of an actress’ buttocks.
The total fine will be approximately $1.2 million (£600,000).
ABC was originally handed the penalty last month (Jan08) but appealed on the grounds that the scene was not intended to shock viewers and they had not been given enough time to respond to the complaint.
But the FCC rejected those arguments and upheld the fine.
