MELANIE CHISHOLM wants to ditch bandmates VICTORIA BECKHAM and GERI HALLIWELL and carry on performing as the SPICE GIRLS without them.
The singer was annoyed when a final set of concerts in China, South Africa, Australia and Argentina were scrapped so her bandmates could spend more time with their families.
She released a statement insisting it wasn’t her decision - prompting rumours of a rift in the group.
Speaking to WENN, the singer refuses to discuss rumours of a rift within the band, but she reveals she’s already planning her life after the Spice Girls. Chisholm wants to team up with Baby Spice Emma Bunton and Scary Spice Melanie B on tour.
She says, "If they’d be up for it - I think it would be lovely. I enjoy singing with the girls. It would be great. I’ve always liked singing with Melanie B. We did a duet on the first world tour with the Spice Girls and I think our voices work well together. And also Emma. Our voices work well together too."

TV star DUANE ‘DOG’ CHAPMAN is set to make a return to the small screen - just months after his show was axed following his racial slur scandal.
Chapman’s TV show was pulled by network A&E after the bounty hunter’s son went public with a tape on which he was heard calling his Mexican girlfriend a "whore" and a "n**ger".
But the network has reconsidered its decision after Chapman took part in a number of events to promote racial equality.
According to TMZ.com, A&E has not yet set a premiere date, but have organised filming in Hawaii to commence immediately.

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES star MARCIA CROSS has vowed never to give birth again, after she endured a dangerous and traumatic pregnancy to give birth to twin girls - EDEN and SAVANNAH.
A year on, Cross, 45, is still sworn off natural birth, after fearing both she and her children would die during labour. Instead she and husband Tom Mahoney will adopt if they want more kids.
She tells Health magazine, "My eyesight started going, and I gained 12 pounds in one week. Both are symptoms of pre-eclampsia, a complication that is life-threatening for mother and baby. Within 12 hours of being diagnosed - at 35 weeks - I had a C-section (Caesarian section)."

NATALIE PORTMAN only accepted the role in new movie THE OTHER BOLEYN GIRL after learning she could share the big screen with SCARLETT JOHANSSON.
The actress was initially reluctant to take the part in the movie documenting the relationship between British monarch Henry VIII and his second wife Anne Boleyn, but agreed after the producers met her request and offered a part to Johansson.
She says, "I read the script and loved it and came on as Anne, and I was like, ‘I will only do it if Scarlett does it,’ because I have just loved her for so long, since we were kids. "She’s so true always and so good, and you just never get the chance to work with someone your own age that you so admire. This was such a great, great chance (to do that)."

Actress KATHERINE HEIGL feels sorry for the scores of paparazzi who spend hours following her around - because her life is boring.
The Grey’s Anatomy star claims she was shocked at the number of snappers waiting outside her house the day after her Emmy success in November last year (07) - when she won outstanding supporting actress in a drama series.
But she doesn’t mind the intrusion - because it is all part of being a successful Hollywood actress.
She says: "The paparazzi are a whole new deal to me. It started slowly, I’d see one or two every once in a while and then one day after the Emmys there were 20.
"I was like ‘Arrrrgh!’ I feel guilty, though, because I never do anything interesting and they’ve waited outside my house all day.
"I often complain about people moaning about the paparazzi because if you want the money you make and the big movie roles, then it’s the price you have to pay."

RYAN REYNOLDS has hailed child star ABIGAIL BRESLIN an inspiration to young actresses - because she refuses to allow fame to rule her life.
Reynolds, who appears alongside the 11-year-old in new movie Definitely Maybe, was amazed by her maturity - and believes she will not suffer the same fate as former child stars Drew Barrymore and Lindsay Lohan - who have both endured public battles with alcohol and drugs.
He says, "It’s a tough gig with these kids in this industry. They come in wholesome and whole and leave broken. You look at a girl like Abigail and her mom and her family and right off the bat you see the healthy dynamic and that’s pretty unusual.
"I don’t feel like she was being exploited for anything. She has a genuine love for what she does. Hollywood is definitely made up of broken glass and bubblegum, it’s a scary place, but she seems to be handling it pretty well. I don’t know many 11-year-old Oscar nominees who are complete s**ts, so she’s pretty great." Breslin was nominated for an Academy Award at last year’s (07) Oscars for her role in 2006’s Little Miss Sunshine.

Actress DENISE RICHARDS has defended her decision to allow her children to appear in her new reality TV show, insisting they want to become stars.
The former Bond girl was taken to court by ex-husband Charlie Sheen in a bid to stop their daughters Sam, three, and two-year-old Lola from appearing on television.
But a Los Angeles judge ruled in Richards’ favour and gave her the green light to feature the kids in the currently untitled programme.
And Richards insists her daughters were desperate to be a part of the project.
She says, "I am a single mum and I am very hands-on with my kids so I can’t do a show without the kids at all.
"I asked them if they wanted to be on TV and Sam said, ‘Yes!’. My girls have been around it so much. They love the make-up. They love the hair. They love all of that.
"I understand why people are judgmental right away saying, ‘How could she have her kids on the show?’ But as long as they’re protected, I feel that they’ll be OK." Meanwhile, Richards hopes the show will represent her in a good light following months of negative press after the breakdown of her marriage to Sheen in 2006.
She says, "There has definitely been a lot of negative things written about me and going through my divorce. You know, I don’t want to do a bunch of interviews and start mud-slinging with my ex. He’s still their dad. I would like an opportunity for people to see who I am."

TV prankster STEVE-O is embarking on a new career as a rapper - and has challenged fellow hip-hop wannabe KEVIN FEDERLINE to a rap war to prove his talent. The former Jackass star has written a track attacking Britney Spears’ ex-husband for his new album Hard as a Rock - and he wants to set up a lyrical battle with Federline, whose own rap career flopped after the release of his 2006 LP Playing With Fire.

The organisers of the Brit Awards are thrilled to have secured a performance by troubled star AMY WINEHOUSE.
Bosses behind Wednesday’s (20Feb08) London ceremony have confirmed the Back To Black hitmaker is slated to take to the stage at the event alongside producer Mark Ronson to perform their hit single Valerie.
And Brits chairman Ged Doherty is delighted. He says, "We are just thrilled to have her appearing at the ceremony. At times it has been a difficult year for Amy but what has never been in doubt is that she is a real talent.
"We think that her performance will be one of those Brit ‘moments’ and it’s part of a really strong line-up." ALICE COOPER is baffled about his exclusion from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame - he’s convinced he must have done something to offend the organisers.
Cooper is one of the most high profile absentees from the Hall of Fame, which honours the greatest achievers in the world of rock - and he can’t understand why.
He says, "It’s not a popularity contest. It’s how they decide who’s going to be in the hall of fame.
"I must have stepped on someone’s glasses or something.

Pop star PINK has split from her husband of two years, motocross racer CAREY HART.
The Stupid Girls singer, 28, married 32-year-old Hart in January 2006 at a ceremony in Costa Rica.
The star - real name Alecia Moore - recently denied reports her marriage was in trouble but has now confirmed the split.
Moore’s publicist Michele Schweitzer insists Pink and Hart have ended their relationship on amicable terms.
She tells People.com, "Pink and Carey Hart have separated. This decision was made by best friends with a huge amount of love and respect for one another.

DENISE RICHARDS has hit back at claims she stole RICHIE SAMBORA from pal HEATHER LOCKLEAR, insisting they were not friends at the time.

But Richards doesn’t regret her year-long fling with the rocker, because she had already ended her friendship with Locklear.

"The truth of the matter is my friendship with Heather ended before Richie and I even started dating. That’s one thing I don’t know if people knew or not.
I never had an affair. I never cheated on Charlie and Richie never cheated on Heather. If I was still friends with Heather, I would have never crossed that line with Richie at all."

Actor JONATHAN RHYS MEYERS has been named as the new ambassador for a charity which campaigns for the rights of street children in India.
The Tudors star will be the face of the Hope Foundation, an Irish organisation which was set up in 1999 to aid underprivileged children in the city of Calcutta.
He says, "I’m deeply honoured to become an ambassador for an organisation like the Hope Foundation.
"If I can use my name and celebrity to advance awareness of the great work the Hope Foundation does in some small way then I am delighted to be able to do so."

LINDSAY LOHAN jumped at the chance to follow in the footsteps of her idol MARILYN MONROE and strip naked for legendary photographer BERT STERN.
The actress poses nude and hiding behind a strip of sheer fabric in the latest issue of New York magazine. The pictures are copies of images Stern shot of Monroe just six weeks before she died in 1962, and which appear in his book The Complete Last Sitting.
Lohan, 21, had never stripped off in print or on screen before, but didn’t hesitate to emulate her hero Monroe - confessing her home, in the same Los Angeles apartment block where the late star once lived, is a shrine to the Some Like It Hot actress.

Late CROCODILE HUNTER star STEVE IRWIN’s four-year-old son has proved he is just like his father - after laughing off a potentially poisonous snakebite.
Four-year-old Robert’s passion for animals was in evidence when the child was attacked by a baby boa constrictor - instead of recoiling in shock, he was proud to have been the victim of a potentially deadly bite.
Irwin’s widow, Terri, explains, "He picked one of them up and it bit him on the finger, and he was so proud to have copped his first hit.
"He said, ‘I hope it wasn’t venomous,’ so I assured Robert I wouldn’t actually let him play with venomous snakes." It’s not the first time Robert has had a close encounter with a potentially dangerous animal. His late father sparked outcry in 2004 after being filmed holding his then one-month-old son while feeding a snapping crocodile.
Irwin died in September 2006 when he was stabbed in the heart with a stingray barb.
