The Nasty singer was a surprise guest at the weekly Tiger Heat gay night at Arena Nightclub in Los Angeles on Friday (08Feb08) - and now organisers of the White Party weekend in Palm Springs are begging her to play the desert event in April (08), according to blogger Marc Malkin.
If Jackson does perform, she’ll join the likes of Jennifer Lopez and Toni Braxton, who have headlined the White Party in recent years.

PARIS HILTON’s latest attempt to break through as a movie star in THE HOTTIE & THE NOTTIE has proved a huge flop with U.S. cinemagoers.
The new film, in which Hilton plays a stunner with an ugly best friend, took just $27,696 (£13,848) in 111 cinemas across America last weekend (08-10Feb08).
The miniscule box office haul means an average of 31 people per movie theatre watched The Hottie & The Nottie over the three-day period.
Hilton’s last starring role was in 2005 horror film House Of Wax.

Hit musical CHICAGO is turning Japanese after producers of the Broadway show gave impresarios at Kyodo Tokyo Inc. the OK to translate the production.
The long-running Kander and Ebb musical will make its Japanese debut at the Akasaka ACT Theatre in Tokyo in October (08).
The English-language version of the show has toured Japan three times since debuting in 1999, and has become a big hit in the Far East.
The new Japanese production will star Ryoko Yonekura and Yoka Wao as Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly respectively, and Ryuichi Kawamura as scheming lawyer Billy Flynn.
The show has already been translated into French, German, Russian, Swedish and Spanish, among other languages for engagements around the globe.

LOST star MICHAEL EMERSON was left red-faced during a recent subway journey when a preacher directed her sermon at him.
Emerson, who plays a dark and mysterious character on the hit U.S. TV drama, was travelling through New York when a terrified fan spotted him - and let everyone in the subway carriage, including a woman preaching the gospel, know about it.
The actor says, "I was just trying to look small and inconspicuous.
"Someone at the far end of the car stands up and says, ‘That’s him! That’s that guy from TV, that scary guy!’ "Everybody on the car looks at me, including the preacher lady, so now I’m the subject of her sermon."

Actor DAVID GROH has died following a battle with kidney cancer. He was 68.
Groh, who is best known for starring in ’70s U.S. sitcom Rhoda, passed away at Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Tuesday (12Feb08).
He shot to fame in 1974 when he starred as Joe Gerard, the husband of Valerie Harper’s Rhoda Morgenstern on the TV smash.
Groh also appeared in numerous television shows including Law & Order, General Hospital and Murder, She Wrote, and he had roles in movies including Two-Minute Warning and Get Shorty.

Actress/director ADRIENNE SHELLY’s killer faces a 25-year prison sentence, after pleading guilty to manslaughter.
Ecuadorian construction worker Diego Pillco admitted strangling the Waitress filmmaker in November 2006 after she caught him trying to rob her apartment.
During his testimony in a New York courthouse on Thursday (14Feb08), Pillco then confessed to hanging the 40-year-old to make her death look like a suicide.
Pillco, an illegal immigrant in the U.S., was renovating an apartment in the same West Village building where Shelly had an office.
He said he panicked when Shelly discovered him stealing from her purse and threatened to call the police.
Pillco, 20, will be sentenced on 6 March (08).

Country star KENNY CHESNEY is considering putting an end to his impromptu college bar shows after discovering fans are learning about the low-key gigs and turning them into big events.
Chesney’s informal Keg In The Closet shows are set up to help the singer and his band rehearse for arena tours.
But after learning that news of a tentative show near the University Of Alabama in Tuscaloosa has been publicised by over-eager fans, the country star is thinking about axing the pre-tour gigs.
The shows are announced at the last minute to allow college students to attend.
Chesney says, "The idea is to let it be a surprise, give it back to the kids on those campuses (we play).
"We pulled a show because someone decided they were gonna hand out the tickets, and if it’s gonna turn into something that’s not the spirit of what we’re trying to do, then it’s probably time to stop."
