MILLS’ FATHER FEARS FOR DAUGHTER IN COURT
HEATHER MILLS’ father is unhappy his daughter has chosen to represent herself in court as part of her ongoing divorce battle with SIR PAUL McCARTNEY insisting she will be "torn to shreds".
The former glamour model is locked in a bitter dispute with the Beatles legend and after sacking her lawyers last year (07) took to London’s High Court this week (beg11Feb08) on her own to fight for a share of the singer’s estimated $1.65 billion (£825 million) personal fortune.
But although Mark Mills is proud that the 40-year-old is brave enough to take on her estranged husband’s legal team all by herself he fears she will be no match for McCartney’s expensive attorneys.
He says, "It could be the biggest shambles the court has ever seen. Not many people would fancy representing themselves, whereas Paul can afford the best lawyer money can buy.
"Heather will be torn to shreds. But she’s not like normal people. She has no fear." McCartney and Mills - who have a four-year-old daughter - split in May 2006 after four years of marriage.
