JAZZ STAR ANDERSON DIES
Jazz pianist CHRIS ANDERSON has died following complications from a stroke. He was 81.
Anderson, who played with jazz legends Charlie Parker and Dinah Washington, passed away in New York on 4 February (08).
His sophisticated playing style proved influential on a whole generation of jazz musicians, including Herbie Hancock and Barry Harris.
Anderson was born in Chicago, Illinois and moved to New York in 1961 after recording with Washington.
