RICHARDS MOVES DAD IN FOR REALITY TV SHOW
DENISE RICHARDS’ dad is moving in with the actress to help her find a new husband and mourn the loss of her mother.
That’s the premise of the former Bond girl’s new U.S. reality TV series, which will debut later this year (08).
Dad Irv and the pretty mum-of-two have both been struggling with the loss of Richards’ mother, who died late last year (07) after a lengthy battle with cancer, so they’ve chosen to help each other by becoming housemates.
And while he’s living with his famous daughter, Irv Richards hopes to find the actress, who is single again after her marriage to Charlie Sheen and a romance with rocker Richie Sambora, a new man.
She says, "I’m single… I come with a lot of baggage… He wants to find me a husband… There’s gotta be some guys out there… Irv’s in charge this time.
"My dad’s going to be a big part of the show. (It’s about) my father moving into my chaos and he and I helping each other pick up the pieces." The show is a tribute to Richards’ late mother - because she was the one who urged the actress to sign up for the reality TV programme and show viewers the real Denise.
She adds, "We were negotiating this show when my mom was really sick and she was the one that really said you should do it.
"She passed away during negotiations, so I was committed because she really wanted me to do this show."
