Hollywood beauty SCARLETT JOHANSSON has fuelled rumours she is to marry boyfriend RYAN REYNOLDS after she was spotted in Los Angeles looking at wedding dresses.
The Lost In Translation star, who has been dating the actor for just under one year, last month (Jan08) denied reports the Definitely, Maybe hunk had proposed to her, with her spokesperson claiming there was "no truth" to the story.
But the 23-year-old was seen with her mother and sister at the Monique Lhuillier boutique in L.A. last week (begs04Feb08), where they "stayed for a while" viewing a variety of gowns, according to the New York Post’s gossip column PageSix.
Reynolds has previously been engaged to Canadian singer Alanis Morissette, but he called off their engagement in February last year (07).

Movie director ROBERT RODRIGUEZ decided to kill off his real life son on screen to "horrify the audience" - a decision that left him traumatised.
The Desperado director had to think "long and hard" before filming the gruesome demise of his son, Rebel Rodriguez, in his recent horror movie Grindhouse.
Rodriguez says, "I’d worked with my son, Rebel, before on The Adventures Of Sharkboy And Lavagirl, and we did shoot a version where he survives.
"But then I couldn’t stop wondering how it would feel to do something really horrific. Here we were creating all this stuff to horrify the audience, and I thought, ‘What would horrify me, personally, the most?’ And the thought of killing my own son, on screen, certainly fitted the bill! "People might think that it’s shocking, but when you are doing a tribute to Grindhouse movies, you’ve got to go at it balls-out!"

Swedish actress EVA DAHLBECK has died. She was 87.
The star, who featured in many works by late director and fellow Swede Ingmar Bergman, died at a retirement home in Stockholm on Friday (11Feb08) after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Dahlbeck was one of Scandinavia’s most feted actresses, and was celebrated for her lead roles in Bergman’s 1952 film Secrets Of Woman and 1955’s Smiles Of A Summer Night. She also was the author of almost a dozen novels.
She is survived by her son Tomas Lampell.

Bollywood bad boy SANJAY DUTT has married his long-term girlfriend MANYATA DILNAWAZ SHAIKH, according to reports.
The couple wed in a secret ceremony in Goa on Thursday (07Feb08), with formal Hindu nuptials taking place the following Monday (11Feb08) in Mumbai, India.
It comes after a troubled 2007 for the star - he spent nearly three months behind bars after being found guilty of illegal weapons charges in connection with the 1993 train bombings in Mumbai, which killed over 200 people.
Dutt was released on bail in November (07) pending the outcome of his appeal to the Indian Supreme Court. A date for the hearing has yet to be set.
It is Dutt’s third marriage. His first wife died of cancer, while his second marriage ended in divorce.

LATEST: Rock supergroup VELVET REVOLVER have been forced to cancel a series of shows in Australia after frontman SCOTT WEILAND checked into rehab.
The shows scheduled for 15 to 20 February (08) were due to go ahead, according to gig promoter Chris O’Brien, despite Weiland beginning a spell in a facility in San Diego last week (ends08Feb08).
But in an official statement from Australian promoters KMW Productions, the company admits the concerts have now been pulled.
It reads, "Velvet Revolver regret to announce they’re unable to perform their five upcoming concert dates in Australia that were scheduled for February 15-20. The cancellation of these shows will allow lead singer Scott Weiland to continue treatment at a rehab facility which he voluntarily entered after the band’s February 6 performance in Los Angeles.
"Velvet Revolver deeply apologize to their fans in Australia and thank them for sticking by the group when various members have relapsed during the last year and a half." Velvet Revolver’s gig at the House of Blues in San Diego last Thursday (07Feb08) was also scrapped as a result of Weiland’s rehab.
However, the band’s performances at the Dubai Desert Rock Fest on 8 March (08), and their U.K. tour later that month, are still scheduled to go ahead.

LATEST: Former BLINK 182 star TRAVIS BARKER is officially single after his divorce from SHANNA MOAKLER was finalised earlier this month (Feb08).
A judgement has been filed in the pair’s 2006 divorce, despite the couple having an on-off relationship since their split was first announced.
Drummer Barker and the former Miss U.S.A. married in 2004, but separated in August 2006. They reconciled in 2007 and gave their romance another chance to blossom, but parted ways again months later.
The couple has two children together - Landon Asher, three, and Alabama Luella, two, reports TMZ.com.
The divorce marks the end of Barker’s second marriage - he was previously married to Melissa Kennedy but split from her in August 2002 after just 11 months of marriage.

Legendary hip-hop star DR. DRE has launched a legal bid to view documents belonging to his former label Death Row Records in a dispute over unpaid royalties.
Dre - real name Andre Young - filed legal papers in Los Angeles’ U.S.
Bankruptcy Court last Tuesday (05Feb08), requesting a court order for the now defunct label to hand over contracts and other documents to help determine the total amount owed to him since the label filed for bankruptcy in April 2006.
Young started up Death Row Records with music mogul Marion ‘Suge’ Knight in 1991, but sold his 50 per cent share in the company in 1996. However, he retained the rights to royalties on recordings released before the agreement.
He is seeking to reclaim the rights to his 1992 solo debut The Chronic, after the label’s control was placed in the hands of a bankruptcy trustee in July 2006. Young also alleges Death Row broke an agreement with him by allowing another company distribution rights to his recordings.
He wants Death Row to turn over the relative documents by 29 February (08) and have representatives available for deposition on 7 March (08).
The news comes just days after it was revealed music giant Warner is making a $25 million (£12.5 million) bid for Death Row’s back catalogue, which includes hits by rap icons Tupac Shakur, Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube.
Death Row folded in 2006 with debts of $137 million (£68.5 million) and assets worth just $4.4 million (£2.2 million).

Dominican singer JUAN LUIS GUERRA and Colombian star FANNY LU lead the nominations for this year’s (08) Billboard Latin Music Awards with seven and six nods, respectively.
Guerra is up for the Songwriter of the Year and Producer of the Year categories, while he and his group 440 have also received nods for awards including Tropical Album of the Year, Duo or Group for La Llave de Mi Croazon, and Tropical Airplay Song of the Year for the LP’s title track.
Pop newcomer Fanny Lu’s Lagrimas Calidas album will contend for the Tropical Album of the Year, Female as well as Tropical Album of the Year, New Artist, among a clutch of other awards.
Meanwhile, the Latin Album of the Year category will be contested between pop group Camila for Todo Cambio, Daddy Yankee for El Carte: The Big Boss, Wisin y Yandel for Wisin Vs. Yandel: Los Extraterrestres, and singer/actress Jennifer Lopez for Como Ama Una Mujer.
The Top Latin Albums Artist of the Year nominations are dominated by Mexican acts, with Aventura going up against Vicente Fernandez, Marco Antonio Solis and Valentin Elizalde.
Other nominees include Enrique Iglesias, Colombian rocker Juanes, Mexican rock band Maná and newcomer Kany Garcia.

MATTHEW McCONAUGHEY and KATE HUDSON’s new movie FOOLS GOLD has shot to the top of the U.S. box office, taking $22 million (£11 million) over three days.

Australian star ISLA FISHER turned to a career in comedy when her funnyman fiance SACHA BARON COHEN laughed at her auditions - for serious roles.
The Wedding Crashers actress claims the Borat creator convinced her to pursue Hollywood comedy films after labelling her the funniest woman he had met - even though she was reading for dramatic productions.
The 31-year-old says, "Sacha noticed it first (having a talent for comedy). I was auditioning for all these dramatic roles, and I’d read the scenes through with him.
"He’d laugh and say, ‘You should be doing comedy, you’re one of the funniest women I’ve met!’ I’d never considered comedy but I felt that it was such a huge compliment coming from him that I went ahead.
"Wedding Crashers was one of the first comedy films I went for."

Rapper 50 CENT has blasted reports he’s on the verge of axing hip-hop star YOUNG BUCK from G-UNIT, branding the rumours "crazy".
50 Cent - real name Curtis Jackson - appeared on radio denying the claims, insisting Young Buck is still part of G-Unit despite not joining the rap group on tour or featuring on their latest mixtape.
According to MTV.com, Jackson is dismissing the incidents as pure coincidence.
He says, "During the international tour, Buck was scheduled to go on the Young Rich Tour, that was the tour (his manager) Sha Money (XL) was putting together for him and Rich Boy.
"I didn’t know that didn’t materialize while I was overseas, but that’s why you didn’t see Buck overseas with us.
"And he was just in Nashville while I was in New York the weekend we decided to put the tape together.
"It just looks crazy because he wasn’t there, then you come back and see the tape and he (isn’t on it), but it’s not what people think it is."

LATEST: Rapper 50 CENT’s fashion label G-Unit Clothing has severed ties with parent company Marc Ecko Enterprises - fuelling speculation he is to close the brand.
The star - real name Curtis Jackson - launched the firm in 2004 with Marc Ecko Enterprises, which owns 50 per cent of the brand.
On Friday (08Feb08), staff at G-Unit Clothing were informed of their redundancy, after rumours of job cuts surfaced earlier that week (begs04Feb08).
Representatives for 50 Cent, however, denied claims the star was to close the brand, saying, "They aren’t shutting down. They may be leaving their partner, but the G-Unit brand is a base business of $75 million dollars (£35.5 million) annually." It is thought Jackson will retain complete ownership of the clothing line and will attempt to relaunch the brand with another manufacturer, reports MTV.com.

R&B star KELLY ROWLAND upset fellow passengers on a recent flight after filling the first-class cabin with the stench of onion.
The Destiny’s Child singer received angry looks of disgust from fellow flyers as she munched her way through a "honky" sandwich - but escaped further trouble by pretending she was unwell.
The 26-year-old says, "I was in first class and the other passengers were not happy with the smell! I looked around and could see a lot of disgusted faces.

The 42-year-old was sent to an all-white school in his native New York and was taunted by racist bullies on a daily basis.
The groundbreaking comic - who often uses racial references in his stand-up routine - claims the bullying became so bad, he created a humorous fantasy world in his head.

Hollywood veteran SYLVESTER STALLONE has hailed his fourth RAMBO installment as the best movie he’s ever made.
The 1980s action hero has once again blasted Rambo III, but insists he’s revitalised the franchise with the movie he’s most proud of making in his 40-year Hollywood career.
Stallone credits his improved work with going back to basics on the latest Rambo movie, blaming much of Rambo III’s shortcomings on the extravagant action sequences.
He says, "Now I think, ‘What a crock of crap that (Rambo III) was.’ Most people like the first one, which was a lot simpler.
"So I learned from that and the new Rambo is more like that. This is the best movie I have ever done and it meant the most to me so far."
