THERON ACCEPTS HASTY PUDDING HONOUR DRESSED AS ELEPHANT
CHARLIZE THERON dressed up as an elephant and wooed a stranger when she collected her Woman Of The Year award from Harvard University’s Hasty Pudding Theatrical Society on Friday (08Feb08).
The Oscar winner also danced to disco music and struck modelling poses as she accepted the wacky honour from the prestigious Massachusetts college’s amateur theatrical organisation.
Theron, who grew up in South Africa, told the students, "I hope you all know I’m a high school drop-out. I just thought I’d be clean with you guys." Previous Woman Of The Year recipients have included Julia Roberts, Meryl Streep and Halle Berry.
Veteran actor Christopher Walken will collect the Hasty Pudding Man Of The Year award on 15 February (08).
