HAS JOLIE LOST HER OSCAR?

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:09 am

ANGELINA JOLIE has lost the Best Supporting Actress Oscar she won in 1999 for GIRL, INTERRUPTED, according to reports.
Jolie gave the Academy Award to her mother Marcheline Bertrand after the ceremony.
When Bertrand died in January 2007, Jolie recovered it from the Beverly Hills, California hotel her mother lived in - but it has since gone missing, reports OK Magazine.
A source tells the publication, "Angie doesn’t care about awards. Sure, it’s a great honour to win an Oscar, but Angie thinks herself as more of a humanitarian and mother than an actor."

  • KNIGHTLEY’S RED CARPET PRETENCE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:06 am

British actress KEIRA KNIGHTLEY uses a secret trick to deal with the hordes of photographers stationed at red carpet events - she pretends to be someone else.
The Atonement star takes on the alias of a former iconic beauty in order to cope with all the attention, and she insists it’s the only way she can get through promos.
And the super-slender Knightley claims she once envisaged herself as voluptuous screen siren Sophia Loren at the Venice Film Festival in Italy.
The 22-year-old says, "When I get out of the car I pretend to be someone else. It’s a different person every time. At the Oscars, I was an elegant Edwardian society woman from a painting by John Singer Sargent.
"For the Venice Film Festival, I was Sophia Loren. For the premiere of Atonement, I was someone else again, but I won’t say who, as it’s embarrassing.
It’s my way of getting through it."

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:06 am

LANCE BASS has called on his former ‘N SYNC bandmate JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE to get in touch with his ex-girlfriend, troubled BRITNEY SPEARS.
Bass believes Timberlake, who dated the singer for four years until 2002, could help out Spears by lending her emotional support as she battles bipolar disorder and a custody fight with ex-husband Kevin Federline.
He tells UsMagazine.com, "Justin could really help…
"I hope that she gets good people back in her life. It would be nice to see those old and familiar faces from back in the day back in her life.
"Hopefully this is as low as it will go. She will definitely get the help that she needs."

  • DiCAPRIO SUES DOZENS OF BUILDERS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:06 am

LEONARDO DiCAPRIO is suing dozens of building contractors in relation to a row over the construction of a basketball court which the actor’s neighbours claim damaged their property.
The Titanic star and his cousin Robert Hrtica, from whom DiCaprio rents the Hollywood Hills home, filed legal papers in Los Angeles Superior Court on 30 January (08).
The pair allege contractors and landscapers who built the basketball court in 2004, and another contractor who worked on a retaining wall for neighbours Ronald and Joan Linclau, should be held liable for any damage to the Linclaus’ property.
DiCaprio and Hrtica also claim the Linclaus’ own lawsuit, which was filed in May 2007 and claims the basketball court damaged their property, is meritless.
DiCaprio’s legal documents state: "Seeking a scapegoat for the potential problems that they themselves created and the creation of a backyard for themselves free of charge, (the Linclaus) filed this lawsuit in an apparent attempt to extort the cost of construction of a new retaining wall." Last month (Jan08), a judge ruled the Linclaus need to amend their lawsuit as it doesn’t prove DiCaprio did anything wrong, or it will be thrown out of court.

  • CHER: ‘I WAS DEEPLY IN LOVE WITH CRUISE’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:03 am

CHER and TOM CRUISE dated for three years, were in love, and only split when he moved away to shoot THE COLOR OF MONEY, the pop superstar has revealed.
Both have kept tight-lipped about the relationship, which took place 25 years ago when Cher was 36 and at the height of her fame and Cruise was a 20-year-old up-and-coming actor.
But speaking ahead of her musical comeback with a residency at Las Vegas’ Caesar’s Palace, Cher has now admitted she truly "loved" Cruise.
She says, "It was a long, long time ago and neither one of us ever talked about it and I don’t know why. He didn’t mention it and I didn’t mention it." They split in 1986 when Cruise was forced to move from Los Angeles to Chicago, Illinois after landing a role in the Martin Scorsese film The Color Of Money.
Cher adds, "I couldn’t go to Chicago and that was kind of the straw that broke the camel’s back.
"When we were together he was such a private person. Now it’s hard for me to look at this person and this press. How many times can I watch him jumping up and down on Oprah’s couch?"

  • COBAIN & LOVE’S DAUGHTER ASKS TO BE LEFT ALONE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:57 am

KURT COBAIN and COURTNEY LOVE’s daughter FRANCES BEAN COBAIN has issued a plea to be left alone in peace - because she has yet to make her mark in life.
The 15-year-old is all too aware the only reason people are interested in her is because her parents - former Nirvana rocker Cobain, who killed himself in 1994, and ex-Hole singer/actress Love - are famous.
And the last thing Frances, who has kicked off her modelling career with a spread in the March (08) issue of fashion magazine Harpers Bazaar, wants is to become famous by association.
She says, "These people are fascinated by me, but I haven’t done anything. If you’re a big Nirvana fan, a big Hole fan, then I understand why you would want to get to know me, but I’m not my parents.
"People need to wait until I’ve done something valid with my life.
"I get it (why people want to know about her), I really do, but at the same time it’s creepy."

  • LED ZEPPELIN FANS LAUNCH PETITION FOR WORLD TOUR

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:57 am

LED ZEPPELIN fans have created an online petition begging the legendary band to reunite for a world tour.
Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones teamed up with late drummer John Bonham’s son Jason in December (07) for a one-off performance in London, and fans have been waiting for what they feel is an inevitable world tour announcement ever since.
Last month (Jan08), guitarist Page told a press conference in Japan that the band was "musically ready" to play around the world, but would have to wait until September (08) because of Plant’s touring commitments with singing partner Alison Krauss - if they do decide to tour at all.
Now some enterprising Led Zeppelin followers, who claim to be in touch with the band’s promoter, have launched a petition on campaigning website YouChoose.net, asking the rockers to undertake a world tour.
So far 8,500 people have signed up.
The petition reads: "If you think that it is not fair that only people in the U.K. had a chance to see Led Zeppelin please sign this petition.
"We think Led Zep needs to go on a world tour. There are younger and even older fans that never got to see the great Led Zeppelin in concert. We want to be part of history. We want one of the greatest rock bands to tour."
