GRAMMY ORGANISERS CONFIDENT OF WINEHOUSE APPEARANCE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:06 am

Organisers of this Sunday’s (10Feb08) Grammys are confident AMY WINEHOUSE will perform at the event - after allocating rehearsal time for the star and her band.
The star - who is nominated for six awards at the star-studded event - was released from rehab on Monday (03Feb08) to apply for a U.S. visa, however no decision has yet been made on whether she will be granted entry into the States.
But according to blogger Marc Malkin, Winehouse is scheduled to rehearse with the Dap-Kings band at 12:30pm on Friday (09Feb08) at the Staples Center. If the practise session goes according to plan, the singer will perform hits Rehab and You Know I’m No Good.
Malkin also claims seats in the audience are being held for Winehouse’s entourage.
A representative for the Grammys confirms, "They’re holding a spot for her.
It’ll be close if it happens." Winehouse’s visa has been the subject of much speculation after she was admitted to London’s Capio Nightingale clinic just days after footage of her allegedly smoking crack cocaine was procured by a British tabloid newspaper last month (Jan08). The singer was banned from the U.S. last October (07) after she was arrested and fined in Norway for possession of cannabis.
