SHAKIRA SELLS OFF HER TOUR WARDROBE FOR CHARITY
Pop star SHAKIRA is auctioning off items of clothing from her 2007 Oral Fixation tour for charity.
The big-hearted Latin beauty is selling more than 40 stage costumes to raise funds for her Bare Feet Foundation, which is leading a project to build a school for impoverished kids in her native Colombia.
Among the items up for sale on the eBay Giving Works website include a lavender skirt with turquoise and coral beading, a low cut red dress with large, wing-like sleeves, and a blue tank top baring the slogan, ‘For Those Who Love to Rock’.
The auction, which began last Friday (01Feb08), is due to close on Sunday (10Feb08).
Eric Gazin, president of Auction Cause, the Los Angeles-based firm running the sale, says, "We have bids from all over the world. It’s very exciting."
