STATHAM: ‘RITCHIE COULD HAVE ME IN A FIGHT’
Actor JASON STATHAM has shattered his hardman movie image - by confessing he’d lose to director GUY RITCHIE in a karate fight.
The British screen star - who has worked with Ritchie on Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch and Revolver - regularly spars with his filmmaker pal, who dedicates hours of practice time to the martial art.
And Statham admits the extra work Ritchie puts in would render him helpless were they to ever fight for real.
He says, "Guy puts in more hours than me, so he’s got the edge. He’s a third dan Shotokan blackbelt. There was a time when we were evenly matched."
