SLOANE STUNG BY STRIKE BEE
Actress LINDSAY SLOANE learned all about the hell of Hollywood’s striking writers when she was stung by a bee on the picket line.
The Bring It On star joined writers in protesting contract issues with studio bosses last month (Jan08), and was left with a painful memory of her day on the picket line.
And now the actress is convinced the suffering is her punishment for taking on the might of Hollywood’s bigwigs.
She says, "I was picketing. I was defending the rights of all my writer buddies.
"I grabbed my pole (placard) and I felt this excruciating pain up my arm, and this bee was stuck inside my hand.
"It’s (hand) like the claw. It blew up three times the normal size of my hand. I couldn’t bend my fingers, I couldn’t move.
"This is God’s punishment for doing my due diligence."
