COSBY: ‘MY MOTHER BEGGED ME TO QUIT SHOWBIZ’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:17 pm

Veteran funnyman BILL COSBY’s mother begged him to quit showbusiness for a "proper" career and even left him money in her will in case he failed.
The TV star was already hugely successful and a multi-millionaire when his mother Anna passed away in 1991, but she was still convinced he would never make it.
Cosby jokes, "No matter how big you get in the business, I think your mother never believes you’re going to make it. All mothers would sooner you just pulled out now. She begged me to quit.
"My mother never had a job in her life. We wrote her cheques, so she never wanted for anything. When she died, in her will she handed out money I gave her. She gave me $48,000 ’so that he will have something to fall back on’."
