Rockers ARCTIC MONKEYS have been nominated in a record seven categories for this year’s (08) NME Awards.
The band picked up nods for best British Band, Best Album and Best Track. They will compete against Babyshambles, The Cribs, Klaxons and Muse for Best British band.
The group has also been pipped against Babyshambles, The Enemy, Klaxons and Radiohead in the best album category.
Troubled soul star Amy Winehouse picked up three nominations for Best Solo Artist, Worst Dressed and Villain of the Year.
