TARANTINO’S SUNDANCE NEAR-MISS
QUENTIN TARANTINO nearly missed a party thrown in his honour at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah after his car broke down on the way to the venue.
The quirky director was heading to the Ray Ban Visionary Awards last weekend (20Jan08) when he got stuck on the side of a winding mountain road along with Grey’s Anatomy star Sandra Oh.
Disaster was avoided when Tarantino’s assistant went to the nearby Yarrow Hotel and found an eager fan who offered to drive the pair to the ceremony, according to the New York Post’s gossip column PageSix.
