PAGE REKINDLES LED ZEPPELIN TOUR HOPES
LED ZEPPELIN guitarist JIMMY PAGE has assured fans the band are hoping to embark on a full reunion tour - but they have to wait until frontman ROBERT PLANT is free from other commitments.
The band played a one-off gig as a tribute to Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun at London’s O2 Arena last month (Dec07), and stories about a world tour have been rampant ever since.
And now Page has confirmed the Stairway To Heaven hitmakers are determined to play a series of live dates across the globe - but the tour won’t be able to happen until at least September (08) as Plant has to complete promotional work for his recent duets album with singer Alison Krauss.
Page told a Japanese press conference, "I can assure you the amount of work that we put into the O2, for ourselves rehearsing and the staging of it, was probably what you put into a world tour.
"(But) Robert Plant also had a parallel project running and he’s really busy with that project, certainly until September, so I can’t give you any news."
