COMBS: ‘I WOULD BE CRAZY TO CHANGE NAME AGAIN’
Hip-hop mogul SEAN ‘DIDDY’ COMBS admits he would be "crazy" to consider changing his name again.
The rapper, 38, has changed his stage moniker five times since starting out in the music industry in 1988 and was forced to deny rumours last week (beg21Jan08) that he was planning to adopt yet another new name.
Combs, who has also been known as Puff Daddy, Puff, Puffy, P. Diddy and, currently, Diddy, was claimed to be changing his professional title to Sean John - the name of his clothing and fragrance line.
But the star is determined he won’t be going through the process again.
He tells New York Post’s gossip column PageSix, "My legal name is Sean Combs, (but) people call me Puffy, or Diddy or P. Diddy. It’s just that my life is on blast, so people know about all my different names. If I change my name again, y’all can have me certified as crazy. Alright? But I’m not crazy, so I won’t change my name."
